Palazzo Dal Borgo Hotel Florence

Location is close to the train station--didn't have to take a taxi to get ourselves and our luggage there. Close enough to everything else that we would never have needed a taxi if we hadn't become lost at night in the rain! Staff was helpful and booked restaurant and museum reservations savings us hours standing in lines and dining at 9:30 p.m. Room was lovely--the only room we had that really seemed Italian. The others were so generic they could have been in any city in any country. The only flaw was the poor internet connection, but we survived it!

If you are visiting Florence and want excellent location to train station, all the main attractions, and daily tours this is the hotel you are looking for. The rooms are spacious, bells from Santa Maria Novella are your morning wake up call, and the breakfast is filling and delicious. There is a restaurant one block from the hotel highlighted in Lonely Planet that is perfect for dinner (Joyce, one of the hotel staff can give you directions). We had an excellent experience at this hotel.

I booked a single room at Palazzo Dal Borgo at a great price ($110 per night). It is a solid three star hotel and at that price a great bargain. My room was small, but clean and comfy. Air conditioning is a huge plus! The location is super---close to the Duomo and other sights, yet also two blocks from the Rail/Bus station. The staff helped me book a wonderful one day tour of Tuscany with Walkabout Tours. Some reviewers complain about the noise at the hotel---I can't imagine anyplace in Florence that is not noisy in the evening. As a single female traveler, I felt very safe.

Loved the hotel staff, nice clean room with comfortable bed and spa tub, terrific breakfast buffet, walking distance to attraction, & close to public transportation. Would stay there again in a heart beat.

The Hotel is in a great location and has all the amenities needed if you are out and about. During my stay, the internet was not working which created some problems with the Reservation and being able to work productively. I was also out of email contact with friends and family.

This hotel definitely had an old world 'pension' feel to it, and the staff was friendly enough. Just be wary that a double room means two twin beds pushed together with a crack in the middle, not a true king sized bed. I thought that the breakfast was ok, but the bar never seemed open, and there was no restaurant in the hotel. There seemed to always be someone at the front desk, which was comforting since it is off of a busy street. Street noise is not so bad if you are on a higher floor, but on one of the lower floors it might be a problem. Bathroom was nice and water pressure was good. It's moderately priced especially if you can get a good deal on a search site, but I think you could get a better place for the same or less money. I would recommend this to a friend if they wanted somewhere to stay I had already been, but if we were to return to Florence we would look at a different hotel.

The staff was friendly they try to help us every time, they recomend us good restaurants to eat and in a good price. The hotel decoration was so beautifull, with good light. A very good election.

We got this hotell instead of Hotel Roma that was fully booked. It should also be a 4 star hotel but besides being an old biulding that was nicely renowated I would not say I was more than 3. there was noicy work going on right outside our window wich we had to have open because of that the airconditioning was not turned on yet. Together we got aprox 20 mosquito bites during the stay as we hade to have the window open to get some air and nice temperatur in the room. The nice garden shown on your pictures was closed due to the work going on. our room was nice and the staff very polite and helpfull but because of the mensenged negativ things we where not satisfeid and will not recomend this to others.

Chambre au 3e étage donnant sur la via della Scala très bruyante la nuit : Boules Quiès conseillées. Le wifi ne fonctionnait pas au 3e et malgré l'avoir signalé, aucune connexion durant les 5 jours : Halte au rez de chaussée obligatoire. Café du petit déjeuner à éviter...préférez le thé, le capuccino, le jus de fruit ou rien! Mais bon emplacement de l'hotel par rapport au centre ville et la gare. Heurement Florence et Pise, ça vaut le déplacement.
