Fantastic hotel all around!
We had a wonderful stay for 4 nights during our honeymoon in Italy. We stayed at some pretty nice places throughout our trip, but this was by far our favorite! The location is perfect- very central to most everything, but located on a relatively quiet section of the street. The room was very clean and pretty spacious (especially for european standards). One thing worth mentioning is the beds in Italy tend to be on the hard/firm side, and it took us some getting adjusted to--not the case with NH Porta Rossa--finally a comfortable bed! The staff was knowledgeable, professional, and INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful- particularly Minea and Andreas. They booked our Uffizi gallery tickets, made several dinner reservations for us, etc. Also, I emailed them a week before our arrival to let them know I am allergic to down feathers and they made sure the room was feather free (sounds simple enough, but was not done at other expensive hotels!) They also gave us a complimentary upgrade for our honeymoon from a superior room to a deluxe room, which was an added bonus. Huge selection at breakfast, which was pretty good. There is also free wi-fi in the lobby sitting area - would've been nice to have in the room, but not really a big deal. All, in all, we HIGHLY recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay here if we go back!

Excellent !!!
The hotel is very near of all the interest points. You can be in 5 min at the Ponte Veccio, in 8 min at The Duomo.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
you have to go to the Market, it is very near from the hotel, 6 min walking. They have better prices than the stores. Take the tour bus around the city.

Excellent Hotel
This was one of the best hotels we've stayed at in Italy. I have to say the shower was fantastic and the staff was extremely helpful. The perfect location didn't hurt either...

Locataion was perfect for us; Staff was pleasant but not very engagaing; relatively quiet although a sanitation truck was very loud one evening and woke us; we missed having an iron in the room and had to send out for pressing; broad and fresh breakfast assortment with hot options (eggs and bagon); know the numbering system for Florence addresses when locating the hotel - residents including hotels are in red with businesses in black.
