Made out of an old farmhouse, the hotel faces the lake of San Cipriano at about 5 minutes by car from the railway station of San Giovanni Valdarno, 30 from Florence and Arezzo, 45 from Siena, between the green of Tuscany country, near Chianti and Pratomagno mountain. Open all year, it has 28 rooms (16 double, 12 single) with shower, toilet, hair-dryer, SAT colour TV with LCD 20 display, direct-dialing telephone and a comfortable living room with Bar and TV set. It offers its guests activities such as: walks along naturalistic mountain paths, trekking and mountain-bike rides. There is a tennis ground and horse riding facilities in the vicinity. The Hotel has private park, car and bus parks, restaurant (a la carte at 400 mt.)

Great location but no american comfort.

Hotel is a decent place to stay if you rent a car and drive around Tuscany and you don't have the money to go five stars. Rooms are small and cold, tiny bathrooms. This is a family business, no professional service here, no one speak english. Nearest decent restaurant is about 25 km away at Castello Di Meletto. Booked this thru Orbitz (that mistakenly shows the hotel located in downtown Florence), but the owner tried to double charge me (generally speaking, italians are not always honest with american tourists) so be prepared for any kind of situation. Great location though, and the family rooster is working hard to make sure that you get up early.
