The hotel is a 3 star hotel located in the heart of Florence , only a few minutes walk from all tourist major attractions such as the Ponte Vecchio , Uffizi Gallery, Michelangelo's David and the Cathedral ( Duomo ). The hotel provides 62 charming and well appointed bedrooms equipped with every modern facilities you expect such, colour TV with satellite channels, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, air conditioning. When I made the booking, I choose

When I made the booking, I choose this hotel for the location, not far from the station and a 15min walk to the city centre. And also because of all the hotels I had a look at it looked the best for it's value. First impression wasn't so good. At the check in the staff weren't really helpfull, afterwards it was better. The big dissapointment of the hotel was the room. The room didn't look anything like the ones in the pictures. Perhaps we were in an old room that hadn't been refurbished yet. Bits of wall paper missing, bathroom was clean but still mold was visible especially on the showercurtain. On the pictures the rooms look luminuous. Our room was oldfashioned and rather dark. There is also a noisy street next to the hotel and when the bars close there was a lot of noise. Breakfast was good, different things to choose from. Orange juice wasn't good and on our last day when we arrived a half hour before breakfast finished almost nothing was left and it wasn't refilled.

Quaint

I was there solely for relaxation, of which I got plenty. Although I am accustomed to larger rooms, this room was acceptable. However, I would have liked a bit more room in the shower. It is an older hotel, which I was told during check-out, would be closing for total renovation, between early Nov. '09 and late March 2010.

Got a great deal due to overbook

The Club Hotel didn't have room available so they offered us to stay in their another property called Waldorf suite which was higher star rating and spotless rooms.

Ottimo per chi viaggia in tren

Ottimo per chi viaggia in treno,decisamente difficile per chi viaggia in automobile anche se, fortunatamente ,la cortesia e la disponibilità del personale fornisce un aiuto eccellente per districarsi nella difficile viabilità di Firenze

El hotel no tiene mal aspecto

El hotel no tiene mal aspecto de entrada, pero cuando se va a las habitaciones empienzan los problemas. Primero, el ascensor no lleva hasta la última planta, con lo cual a quien le toque "en suerte" una habición 600 tiene que subir a mano las maletas, como nos pasó a nosotros. Las ventanas no cierran bien; los baños pueden tener o no cortinas o biombos para evitar la salida del agua. El espacio para el desayuno es muy reducido, y si toco época de grupos, hay que esperar para poder desayunar... en fin, un cúmulo de defectos poco habitual en los hoteles de su categoría. En España eso no pasaría.
