Corona D'Italia Hotel Florence

If you are coming from the Train station, you take about 5 to 10 minutes to reach this hotel. The staff is friendly and the location is superb. The hotel is located at the beginning of Mercato di San Lorenzo e in 5 minutes walk you can reach Santa Maria Novella square. The hotel itself, apart from its location, has spacious rooms and everything, the rooms, the breakfast, is really in good state. I would suggest other travellers to book for this hotel.

Less than a block walk from the train station. Right next to one of the largest street markets in Florence, great prices on leather goods. Walking distance to most major sites. Good breakfasts, lots of selection. Rooms were small, but clean and adequate. Front desk people were friendly, spoke english and helpful. Biggest negative was they charged for wifi.

The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk from the main railroad station. It is a great location right next to Florence's leather market and a short walk from all main tourist attractions. The hotel was clean and friendly and offered a nice breakfast buffet. Lots of student groups that were very noisy until late at night. Tiny elevators and long wait times if you wanted to use them when a group was getting ready for check-out. It was good value - I would go back there any time.

Clean and nice. Room size alright to Europe hotels standard. Good breakfast. Near to railway station. Quite easy to find. Near market and easy walk to the city.

Great hotel very close to the train station and in the heart of everything - easy walk to Duomo and most other sites and markets just on the hotel corner. Staff helped us find another hotel when we arrived a day early and accepted us back early the next day with the room ready at about nine in the morning. Best hotel we've had in Italy and reasonable price.

The location was very convenient as you could walk down through the markets and be at the Duomo in about 5 minutes or the train station within 2 minutes. The staff were friendly and helpful and the phone in my room was not working so they moved me to another room within minutes. The breakfast was terrific with a lot of variety and very fresh. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Hotel staff very helpful and speak fluent English. Buffet breakfast was plentiful. Ask for cappucino! Rooms excellent size. Very quiet.

Hotel is centrally located in the heart of Florence. Shopping is literally outside of hotel. Great food and restaurant close by. Hotel has outstanding parking service if planning to drive.

When I first arrived, I had to ask for a room change as the first room they put me in had a bathroom that had such an awful smell I could not stay in it! The cleaning staff and receptionists are, for the most part, friendly and helpful, but it takes some nudging with the reception staff. The location of the hotel is the greatest thing about it. You can walk to the Duomo, Gallery Uffizi and train station. If I were able to pay more for a slightly better maintained facility, I would have. Basically, nothing in this hotel has been updated. They keep it clean and orderly, but it's very very old furnishings make it uncomfortable.

This is the third time I have traveled to Florence, and the third time for staying at Hotel Corona. It is very conveniently located in Florence, walking distance from the train station, and near all the museums. It's not flashy, but very comfortable and clean. The rooms have air conditioning, elevators, and sound proof windows, which are good for the noisy streets of Florence. The staff has always been friendly, and helpful, and actually remembers me from previous visits. The area around Hotel Corona is lively, with street markets, great restaurants, and beautiful historically signifant Churches.
