Cimabue Hotel Florence

Our room was clean, spacious, quiet, and had high ceilings with art on the ceiling. Most of the staff spoke English and were very nice. The continental breakfast was really good. The location is perfect and close to the historic part of Florence. We were able to walk to all of the sites. There are restaurants and shops close by. There is a gelato shop just down the street that had the best gelato that I had my entire 10 days in Italy. I highly recommend Cimabue Hotel Florence.

Customer Support was terrible. Did not explain how door locked. Old fashion bolt lock. I thought self locking like any modern hotel. As a result we slept with the door open on the first night. My confirm stated a 2PM check in. The front desk guy said it was 3 oclock and the rooms weren't ready.When I showed him the confirm, they were suddenly ready. Had an arrogant attitude. Stated that this is not his problem , but my problem. We were assigned a room under very old wooden stairs. People were tramping up and down these stairs which made a loud banging sound 24/7. We needed a maintence man at 3PM in the afternoon to change a reading bulb. The maintence man was not available until the following morning. The Building lobby area is a shared space between the hotel and business offices. Oh by the way, did I mention the food was terrible

Pros: *Location- in a more residential area so it has great low-cost options for meals. It is also very quiet. *Price- one of the mid range options I could find during busy time of late spring. *Free Breakfast- It was a decent selection of pastries, cereal, juice and fantastic made to order espresso drinks. *Front desk staff- Spoke english well and were very nice to us. They made reservations and recommendations for dinners. Cons- *Dated amenities- I understand and appreciate this hotel is in a very old building. However, the matress had a large sag in the middle and the padded, cloth headboard was very dingy looking- along with the drapes and bedspread. The bathroom tiles were cracked and had mildew in some of the cauking. *Location- for some this might be an issue, but it was not for us. For walking, it was about 20 minutes away from the central train/bus station and 20 minutes from all other major sites.

La posizione dell'albergo è perfetta..riuscirete a muovervi tranquillamente per Firenze a piedi..sarete a 10 minuti dalle principali attrazioni!! :) L'unica pecca erano le stanze che avevano arredamenti un po' vecchia e la pulizia...non era purtroppo il massimo nella nostra camera...pochi asciugamani a disposizione e nn per tutti gli ospiti... Cosa molto positivo è stato il parcheggio convenzionato..con 15 euro abbiamo parcheggiato la macchina per un giorno e mezzo!! :) Per la posizione sicuramente ritornerei per il resto dovrei pensarci un po..

Recibimos un cuarto al segundo piso, chiquito pero con un techo altisimo, cama medio chiquita (1m40), ventana que daba en una fuente de luz, muy oscuro el cuarto, no heladera, solo una mesita y guarda ropa. El baño era muy chiquito, no se podia cruzar o estar a dos y la limpieza de la ducha no era tan limpia. Pero la gente de la reception muy bien, nos recomendaron el restuarante TITO, unas cuadras de alli y buena trattoria! Desayuno, abondante y bueno, hemos tenido una buena estancia en Florencia.

Molto pulito. Molto cortesi. La struttura è carina, ma qualcosa andrebbe ristrutturata. Reception non aperta 24H. Buona la colazione. Il servizio è ottimo, ma il numero di servizi è limitato. Parcheggio e ristorante non sono presenti, si affida a strutture vicine. Le stanze a piano terra potrebbero risultare poco confortevoli a causa della vicinanza alla strada. Il prezzo è buono per i contenuti. Se siete ragazzi o pensionati in salute, è perfetto per voi, altrimenti spendete un po' di più per avere qualche comodità in più. La posizione è comunque buona, è veramente a pochi metri dal centro. Nel raggio di 1.5/2 km avrete vicino Ponte Vecchio, piazza della signoria, santa maria novella, santa maria del fiore etc.. Consiglio: chiedete il parcheggio meno costoso dell'hotel con cui sono convenzionati.
