- All Rooms are quiet, with ensuite bathroom, beautiful wooden caisson ceilings period brickwork, whirlpool bath or shower, bidet, hairdryer, large and bright sound proofed windows. They all look onto the central Via Verdi. They are equipped with Free Internet Lan cable, air conditioning, Free Minibar with Mineral Water, TV, Phone, Safe, Phone, Antiallergic Mattresses, Double pillows and bed linen in pure Egyptian cotton.

The Uffizi Galery is only one minute walking from Black 5 townhouse. It can be easily reached on foot from Santa Maria Novella (central station). Piazza Santa Croce, Uffizi are just few minutes walking from our townhouse as well as the shopping area, Via Roma, Via dei Calzaiuoli, Piazza della Repubblica, Palazzo Rucellai, Cappella dei Medici and Ponte Vecchio. Reaching Black 5 Florence Suite by car, by bus or on foot is very easy .

Best part about this hotel is its location in the historic part of Florence. Uffizzi, Academia, and Duomo are all easily walkable. Problems we encountered involved missing the check-in window (14:00 - 18:00) by 5 minutes. The English-speaking clerk had left, and we had to wait for the young woman who cleans the rooms and provides breakfast to ride over on her bike. Since she spoke only Italian (and we speak only a few words), we had to postpone most of our questions until the next day. Although the hotel advertises a lift, you have to walk up 1 and 1/2 flights of stairs before you can access it. Not recommended for people with even minor handicaps. Room and bath are small -- even by European standards. No chairs or desk, so we had to improvise to use the in-room internet. Breakfast was ordinary, but without fruit or hot food. There are 4 keys required to progress from the front entrance to your room. Don't try driving yourself, since even the taxis have to follow a convoluted route; and parking is next to impossible.

Cafe Italiano is just around the corner from the Hotel. It was the best and closest of the 3 hotel-suggested restaurants we tried.

Wenn wieder Florenz, dann in dieses Hotel!
Zimmer wunderschön, Frühstück bekamen wir gratis (obwohl laut Website extra 7 €), war aber auch nicht wirklich berauschend um ehrlich zu sein, sonst alles super, sehr sauber, Klimaanlage super funktioniert, leider etwas laut da Fenster straßenseitig, Lage großartig, direkt bei Santra Croce und den Uffizien etc., Personal sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich
