Florence newcomer in the absolute center of the city's highlights

Great Value, Great Location
Great value with ideal location. The staff is very pleasant and extremely helpful. Amenities were very comfortable, the bed was good, the room was clean, and breakfasts were basic European but good. Overall: Very Pleased and we will return.

Short walk from hotel
A good nearby place to eat is the Bierro Centrale, approximately a bloc and a half from the Axial. It has good selection of food and drink at reasonable prices. Two of us had asparagus casserole, risoto with asparagus, a filet mignon with truffle sauce, and a couple glasses of wine that were all good portions and all great for only 48 Euro.

Excellent position, nice staff and clean room.
Excellent position, nice staff and clean room. WiFi worked fine too. Normally I would go for more stars than 3 to get a gym and a cooked breakfast. Of course these were not available here. However this was a really good 3 star hotel. The central position was key to us enjoying the week in this beautiful city.

Get up early for the Museum ques if you don't want to stand half the day waiting...or pay 30 euro more :o This hotel is less than ten minutes amble from most of the major sites in Florence.

great location, superb staff
Overall very pleased with the hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly at all times, suggesting restaurants, amenities etc. The location was fantastic; right in the heart of the town. Couldn't be better. It could be a little noisy at times, but our room was facing the street, so was to be expected. Other rooms will have been fine. Excellent spot to be able to come and go during the day.

You couldn't buy a better location at any price. Well-appointed room, very good breakfast, very clean. The staff was the best of our visit to Italy. If I have a quibble, it is that the Wifi connection was not as robust as I would like but that's pretty standard in Italian hotels in this range.

Great location
I had a single room which was relatively small compared to US hotels, however offered everything that I needed including a mini fridge. Hotel was within 2 blocks of duomo and about 10 minutes by foot from the train and bus station. It was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate. I would stay here again.

Great Location to Explore Florence
Stayed at the hotel September 8, 2011. Nice, clean, recently renovated, basic hotel with excellent location between the Duomo and Ufizzi. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast included, free wifi, computers, internet, and printer available in the internet room.

Perfect Location, Wonderful Staff!
Hotel Axial is in a near-perfect location, mere blocks from the cathedra, Uffizi, and Accademia. It is also a block away from the Republic Plaza, a great place for people-watching. The staff were incredibly helpful. They booked museums for us, made dinner reservations, called taxis, and were very prompt in responding to emails. Ionela in particular was very helpful. The rooms themselves are a little tired and they open into a courtyard that was a bit loud at times. I believe that there is another hotel upstairs that must have had some children or something. Also, when people smoke in the courtyard the smoke can drift into rooms with open windows and the hallway. Overall, I would actually like to give this hotel 4.5 stars as it is almost perfect and I would highly recommend it to first-time Firenze travelers. There are some very minor issues but I will be staying here when I return.

Good hotel in a great location
The room was very nice. More space the a lot of the hotels we stayed in. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Wi-Fi in room was a big plus. The location was perfect; short walk to everything. Nice breakfast... with eggs. We really liked this hotel and would stay here again. Highly recommended.

Have the staff at the hotel direct you to the big market for shopping. Great deals on leather, etc. Best deals we found anywhere in Florence or Italy. Be sure to negotiate. Don't pay sticker price.
