Quiet and contemporary comfort steps from the main train station
In a city where a 19th century building is considered middle aged, the Alamanni Hotel Florence is indeed a contemporary venue, with its 2002 launch followed by a 2006 partial renovation. Rooms are comfortable and quiet and feature a bevy of modern amenities and conveniences, including Carrara marble-adorned bathrooms. A lobby bar is the ideal meeting place pre-dinner or late night, while a buffet breakfast (fees apply during certain periods) starts everyone's day just right.

Nightmare - Upon checking in, we were told that we were booked at a different location, a block away. The new location's entrance was stinking and the room smelled of cigarette smoke. The room was cleaned once in 2 days. Avoid this hotel - I would not recommend this at all.

It was a nice enough apartment
It was a nice enough apartment with cooking facilities, but the room was dark, full of very strong cigarret smoke smell (although there was a warning on the back of the door which says £250-1500 penety if anyone smoked there!!!). The heater did not work at all in the bedroom so we had to relay on the small heater in the bathroom to keep warm. The location and price are good but there is very basic service - the reception is somewhere else in a differnt building, so checking-in and out were difficult.

An enthusiastic thumb's....sideways
The location is convenient to the train station and close to the center city. The suite was half a block from the hotel with no telephone and no prospect of getting one, no internet and a dishwasher that leaked all over the floor. The shower area consisted of a curtain drawn around a drain in the floor-water everywhere unless we created a dam with towels. The TV never worked (not that we cared-we were in Florence to see art and history).

We stayed at the small apartment
We stayed at the small apartment which was spacious, clean and had a nice kitchen stocked with utensils. One problem we had was with the bathroom. The shower area had no shower tray and was close to the door. When we took shower, water flooded into the bedroom. The hotel offerred unlimited Wi-Fi Internet for 15EUR, but only at the hotel building, not at the apartment, which was a block away.

Got a studio in the residential
Got a studio in the residential area, liked the oven a lot. Convenient for people who want to cook their food if don't want to go to resto all the time. The room is rather small, and the service is just so so. No soap or toilet paper offered if we didn't complain about it. In general, I like the facilities, but the service is not above the average.

Aprile 2011...la stanza era piena
Aprile 2011...la stanza era piena di zanzare e abbiamo passato un'ora a dare la caccia,scoprendo che i muri della stanza erano coperti di zanzare acciaccate e spiacciate sulle pareti da precedenti ospiti,questo sia nella stanza mia,sia nella stanza dei miei parenti....vsto che questo degli insetti e' un problema bisognerebbe come minimo mettere qualche insetticida in camera,altrimenti gli ospiti si sentono come in una giungla amazzonica.... Nella stanza mia il cesso perdeva acqua....per il resto tutto nella media

SITAバスを利用していろいろな所に出かけることが多かったの
SITAバスを利用していろいろな所に出かけることが多かったので、移動に大変便利でした。 建物の２階にあって少し分かりにくい場所にあります。 ６泊しましたが、大変ゆったりとすごすことができました。 朝食は、フルーツはないですが、アップルパイ、チョコパンがとてもおいしかったです。バスタブはありませんが、固定式のシャワーではなかったので快適でした。

Bien placé à côte de la Gare Centrale.
Bien placé à côte de la Gare Centrale. Hotel propre et bien tenu, accueil très chaleureux, notamment de la part de la personne en poste durant la nuit. Chambre agréable, seul bémol le bruit de l'unité de climatisation installée sur le balcon Petit déjeuner un peu faible (mais cappucino très réussi).
