Airport Layover

The hotel runs a shuttle to and from the airport from bus stand 20 at T3 arrivals. 6 Euros per person each way. Food in the hotel is OK but a little pricey. For a 4 star hotel I would have expected tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Staff were excellent and the rooms were comfortable. I would stay here again for easy access to the airport.

Not so good experience

1- we were told the shuttle bus picked up from FCO airport every 30 min., actually it is once an hour. We waited for an hour and a half at night and in the cold for the shuttle bus. When I finally called the hotel (keep in mind the significant cost of calling from US cell phone within Italy- this is international roaming charges, which are significant). We were told by the staff that the bus broke-- yet no-one bothered to make arrangements to pick us up at the ariport. 2- We have a wake up call for next morning at 6AM-- the staff forgor to wake us up, we accidentally woke up at 6:35AM due to noise in the hallway...

Good overnight stay

Close to the Rome airport, this place makes a decent place to stay between flights, as was our case. The restaurant is open late, featured good service and good food. The big downside, though, is that the shuttle to and from the airport is not free (E$6/person/each way).

Convenient and clean

Very clean, modern hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Restaurant is pricey but food was very good - better than the fried fish options available at the few nearby restaurants open on Sunday evening. Shuttle very convenient and affordable. Hint: to get the shuttle from Roma Termini, take the express train to the airport (FCO) go down the escalator to the bottom floor, go out the doors and make a right, walk to the end of the building where you'll see the shuttles parked.

Convenient and helpful

The staff was very helpful, especially the young man in the restaurant. I am a gluten-free person, and he was very helpful. We also arranged for a taxi to the train station the next morning with the travel desk. The instructions need to be clearer on how to adjust the heat/AC.

great location

Great location if you are planning to rent a car at the airport and travel Italy. You can arrive, catch the shuttle to the hotel then shuttle back to the airport to rent the car. We stayed three days at the hotel which provided shuttles to the center of Rome for sightseeing, then picks you up at selected times. We rented a car for our trip to Salerno for five days and returned to the Marriot for the final day, returned the car and were taken to the airport on the shuttle when ready to leave. Local places to dine were also wonderful and within walking distance from the hotel.

close to airport

Nice clean hotel with comfortable bed. Rome was hot and we were ready for a swim in the nice big pool. Unfortunately it was closed. Why? "Because it is autumn". That makes no sense, since the pool was filled, there is no lifeguard, and the weather was very hot. Restaurant onsite, but drinks very expensive and food just OK. It was our last day in Rome after spending 17 fabulous days in Italy. I would stay here again, but with lower expectations.

Sightseeing tip: Not Applicable

Try seeing "Rome in a day on a Segway". This was an excellent, fun way to see all the major sites when you don't have time or are unable to walk all day. Also Roman Empire Tours of the Vatican with Jimmy.

Needs expectation management

This option would only make sense if you're traveling on business, stranded for the night, and you're flying out early the next morning. Pro: hotel is located less than 10 minutes away from the airport. Con: option does not offer good value. Shuttle-bus ride to and from airport is not free-of-charge. Hotel also lacks the basic amenities typical of a business hotel--ie, complimentary bottled water, tea/coffee, bedroom slippers--despite the fact for guests staying in this remote location the hotel bar/restaurant is the only place you can get some of these items.
