An excellent property in a very central location. RO 09/10 Similar to a 'Swiss mountain lodge' with a sloping roof, wooden shutters and deep, dark wooden eaves and suffets. The hotel is situated in the town centre at the bottom of the Corso Italia, the main street where all the best shops are positioned. All along there are pretty cafe bars and restaurants. There are a few buses that reach Cortina or private transfers can be organised from Venice or Treviso airports. The best way to go to this stunning mountain resort is by car.

This hotel was built in the late 1800's; writers should come here for a story as the old pictures on the wall of the town and hotel show glorious days. The staff is extremely hospitable; the location is ideal as it is in the center of the town of
Cortina, 1 block from ATM, and a few steps to restaurants and shops. Bar area is huge with great wine and comfortable tables with oil lit lamps, and couches in a large area behind, amazing wood decor in ceiling. Breakfast is typical Euopean with cereal, fruit, rolls, etc. downstairs in restaurant. Room is modest and ours was small with small TV but bathroom was larger, and we were definitely out and about all day; remember this is a grand old hotel...Parking is free and next to hotel. Enjoy the ambience.
