Situated on the south side of the Matterhorn, the Cervinia ski resort is one of the highest in the world (peaking at 4,000 metres) and one of the few to cross the Italian-Swiss border. You can choose between slalom on the Swiss side or a descent on the pistes in Aosta Valley. Your passport to dual nationality: a large chalet in the purest of mountain traditions with interiors decked out in warm brown wood equipped with a spa for those relaxing moments after strenuous skiing. Gina Lollobrigida and Sophia Loren all adored this hotel. It’s your turn to succumb to its charms!
