Hotel is situated at 300 m. from the Central Railway station, at 1.500m. from Exhibition centre and "Mambo": and only 20 minutes walking from "Piazza Maggiore" the "Two Towers", "Neptune fountain" and Civical Archeological Museum: 7 km from G. Marconi Airport and 70 km from Ridolfi Airport Forli. The hotel name comes from the xvii century painter G.F. Barbieri, who was called "ll Guercino" because of his marked squint. He contributed, with his original and self-taught painting, to the important historical-artistic period belonging to I Carracci, Guidi Reni, Domenichino, Francesco Albani, allessandro Tairini and to many other protagonists of classical revival of Italian painting. It is not by chance that the hotel is in via luigi serra (he was a painter, too), in a qualet area, behind the railway station, whose streets recall the names of the distinguished mentioned artists. NO AC!!

Arrived to find that though they advertise A/C online, please beware that it isn't provided until June!! Our stay was in May with hot weather causing our room temp to be 82 degrees F (28 C)! Besides not offering a free breakfast and no amenities to speak of (yes wifi is free but a hassle to connect to) I would not recommend this place by any means! I was VERY tempted to ask for a discount or refund but didn't want to hassle with since there's a breakdown in communication with the English / Italian that often happens.

Great location, near railway station.

Hotel staff were fabulous. Value

Hotel staff were fabulous. Value for money is good, but paper-thin walls means it is a very noisy hotel when guests move around, or enter and leave at night. Noisy plumbing.

Very welcoming reception area.

Very welcoming reception area. Bright, clean rooms with recently refurbished bathrooms. Excellent buffet breakfast for €6. Highly recommended for the price.

Very friendly welcome at reception.

Very friendly welcome at reception. Room and common areas clean. Walls are thin so a problem if you have noisy neighbours! Close to railway station, short walk into the centre of town

The hotel has just recently been

The hotel has just recently been renovated and was very comfortable and good value for what we paid. Its close to the train station and bus stop which takes you directly to the city center. Would definitely stay here again.
