friendly and helpful
The location of this hotel is excellent, the staff is very helpful, the breakfast is fine. The elevator is very old and there was no shower curtain for the shower/tub. We had a fine view, a comfy bed and they were good about cleaning everything every day.

Long walk from hotel
Assisi is very hilly and the tour buses cannot even drop you at this hotel. We had to walk with our luggage probably close to a kilometer, which was okay with us, but it might not be great for everyone. A taxi could take you to the door.

Beautiful town, very nice hotel
Helpful staff at first, then not so much in evening and next day. Wonderful breakfast buffet spread. Charming room. Assisi is so beautiful, and clean. I hope to go back. I could sit all day in the piazza in front of St. Clare basilica looking at the view.

This is a great hotel in the heart
This is a great hotel in the heart of Assisi! The staff was wonderful, the facilities were clean, the breakfast (included) was huge, fresh, and well laid out. The experience was one of our best ones on this trip.

Great Location, Staff was fantastic!
Only problem we had was actually finding the hotel. If you are not familiar with the area it is very tricky even with a map. As with most towns in Europe parking is a big problem. When we finally found the hotel we were told that the actual parking lot is a distance away. I think one of the men at the Reception desk saw we were not sure where to go so he offered to park the car for us!!! I tried to give him a tip and he refused saying that he was happy to help us. You don't find that too often. The location of the hotel is excellent for visiting the churches of St. Francis which is a bit of a walk but not too bad and the views are breathtaking and also Saint Clare's church is just out the front door and to the left a short distance. Be sure to hit the big one at the foot of the bill Santa Maria degli angeli. We ate dinner at the hotel since most places were closed for the season and it was delightful. Breakfast which came with the room had a variety of breads, juices, fruits, cereal - nice selection. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Assisi. I also took quite a few pictures of the inside of the lobby and staircases. Very nicely decorated.

Be sure you get directions to find the hotel once you arrive in Assisi. Mapquest it or call the hotel. It is very tricky and easy to miss since you are driving up a steep hill on very curvy roads.

In the Heart of Assisi
The staff was very accommodating and welcoming whenever I needed their services. There were not many people at the hotel because it was not the tourist season, but the service at breakfast, in the bar and helping me get a taxi was very good. The room was typically small, but it was attended to everyday and the bathroom was clean. It is located near the main piazza in Assisi and was convenitent to restaurants and the historic places in this medieval town. The lobby was comfortable and the staff was always ready to get me a cappacino when I wanted one. The price was right and I would stay there agin.
