Bell Hotel

Location and breakfast included were the best qualities of this walk-up hotel. Front-desk staff not so hospitable -- a major pet peeve. Good location on main street near the beach, limited view, but not from my room. My room balconey room view was not pretty but welcome nevertheless. Free internet use on lone computer. I'd like to have paid less for the room, overall.

Shopping tip: Long walk from hotel

Depends on what kind of shopping. Open market not too far, boutique shopping the same. Major mall too far to walk for most.

Lovely Tel Aviv Hotel

We had a wonderful time in Tel Aviv. The Bell hotel is a block from the beach, and situated right next to an old Tel Aviv neighborhood. The hotel is spotlessly clean -- our room had a view of the Sea and was very comfortable. We've recommended the hotel to our friends since this experience.

Bell Hotel Tel Aviv

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was pleasant, quite clean, and well air-conditioned; the breakfast was generally pretty good. The hotel is located on the intersection of HaYarkon Street and Allenby Street, which is quite a busy road, but the effect is a very urban setting which I don't think is accurately represented by the hotel's website. Anyhow, it's very close to the beach, and overall a nice place to stay.

Great location, great price, great hotel

Awesome breakfast buffet (both American and Israeli food); try the shukshuka! Also, free internet AND free parking (rare in Israeli hotels). Small, clean rooms, friendly staff, recently renovated. Great location, one block from the beach!

tiny room

I was looking for a clean, cheap room in tel aviv, just to recover from the 22 hour travel time (including 3 diffrent layovers)from us to israel. My first night was missed because of a fire on the airplane. I tried to cancell, but hotel would not because of a 2 day cancellation policy. I arrived on what should have been my second night. I stood outside for 2 or 3 minutes in a storm because door was locked and clerk was away from desk. Hotel looks nice inside and out for a budget hotel, although not in the best looking area for design or safety. When I walked into my room, I thought I was in a closet. This was the smallest room I have ever paid to stay in. The room was apx 6 feet wide and 12 feet long, including the 2 foot 4 inch wide bathroom ( yes, I measured it). I am not a large person, but I found it hard to even move in the bathroom(sorry for any unintentional pun). Also, there was a moldy smell in the room that did clear after runing ac for 15 minutes with the window open. on a square foot basis, this is more than some luxury hotels, but taken for what it is, its not a horrible deal. The next night I paid $12 more for a room in eilat that was about 5 times larger with a great view of the ocean and 3 other countries. I can say the staff was very friendly, and they do have larger rooms, but since I was alone, this is what I was given. I might stay there again, but only because the free parking was worth 15-20 dollars and also the free internet. I paid a total of $164 for what should be a 2 night stay I would recommend this hotel, but only if you are not expecting alot.

Very Noisy, but the bed was great!

This hotel was just a 7 hour stop for us before an early morning flight. It was advertised as an airport hotel, but it's 12 miles from the airport, it's closer to the beaches. It was a $60.00 cab ride to the airport. I don't call that an airport hotel. It's a party hotel and so it the area. People up yelling, talking loud until we left there at 3:00am. Lots of street noise and sirens. We got no sleep and we weren't feeling well so it was a miserable night. The room was ok, the bed and pillows were the best thing about it and that's important. There is no elevator so beware you have to carry luggage up and down stairs.

Don't stay here if you want a really nice hotel for any period of time and want to sleep. Better for the college crowd.
