The only drawback was frequent sound of children playing in halls during morning hours. Otherwise, it was a great experience. The staff were helpful at every venue: desk, pool, dining areas, bell hops. We found the walk down to the harbor an easy
half hour with hidden sculpture garden, Persian Garden, and old German Sector along the way. Take a taxi back since it's all up hill. The view of the harbor from our room was spectacular. Don't try to drive in Haifa unless you know it well. The streets change traffic direction frequently due to steep hills, the outlying areas are ugly, traffic congested and industrial especially where the car rentals are located. It took us 3 hours to get to Hertz to turn our car in.
