Average Hotel, Friendly staff
Orbits accidentally booked a smoking room. The hotel staff was friendly and went out of their way to switch us, even though they didn't have any normal non-smoking available. Hotel was "clean enough", could have been cleaner carpets and bed skirt, but sufficed for our trip and stay. Bathroom was a bit unergonomic, and we kept bumping our heads on protrusions when using the sink and shower due to odd placement of shelves/soap holders. Plenty of free parking, in a nice safe neighborhood, felt very comfortable with our car in the car park. A bit out of the city center, but the walk (50min) was pleasant with the good weather we had in Waterford, and the staff was more than willing to help with maps, or hiring an inexpensive and friendly cab driver when needed. In summary, great staff! Ok on cleanliness, but bathroom is really oddly built, be ready to bump your forehead! Recommended for stays if you don't mind a walk or cab, and pay close attention when showering

Money-saving tip:
Long walk from hotel
Long walk into town is manageable, making this an inexpensive way to see old Waterford.

Ideally located
The hotel is located about 2 miles from the city centre and is in the perfect location for accessing the major roads.Hotel is wel equipped and staff very helpful.Restaurant serves a variety of meals and bar food also available. Prices are on the expensive side we paid 4 euros for a cheese sandwich and guinness is 4 euro 20 a pint however this is the same as some of the city pubs. We found Ireland to be more expensive than UK guess this is due to the euro zone.Places of interest Tramore Dungarven and Kilkenny.

A mix up re booking details was
A mix up re booking details was sorted out at reception. Breakfasts were good and rooms are spacious. Driving in and out of the city, from the hotel, was very easy, with light traffic. Car parks in the city are clearly indicated and in good time. In this respect, Waterford is a model and a lovely city.

Difficult to find better value
Difficult to find better value in this country. Staff was brillant, bedroom very spacious, could use the wi fi for free, car park was free, could have coffee and tea in the bedroom for free...will go again if I plan to go to Waterford again. Was better value than a hostel!

Enjoyed our stay
Traveling across Ireland we stayed at a different hotel every night. This was the easiest in terms of getting in and out. Staff was very nice. Restaurant was good.
