Excellent location - ask for a
Excellent location - ask for a room at the front of the hotel. Car parking available on site which is a real bonus in Kinsale. Very good breakfast with a range of freshly cooked options available. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Overall a most pleasant stay. Would certainly stay at Actons again and would happily recommend it to others

This hotel is very close to everything.
This hotel is very close to everything. When we initially booked in our rooms were obviously smoking rooms and smelt very bad and were both quite small but at the front of the hotel with a slight view. Both couples asked for a non smoking room and we were immediately given different rooms which were non smoking and larger but at the back of the hotel which didn't matter at all. Breakfast was fine.

Actons Hotel
Toured the area... Cobh Island, Cork, Waterford, Dungarbhen... Rode the coastal route... Breathtaking views... Also, walked all around Kinsale... lots of restaurants and pubs... Right on the water... Lovely little town...

Short drive from hotel
Beautiful area... Cobh Island, little island to visit... Huge seaport, little town... Not far from Waterford, a must to visit, especially for the coastal route back to Kinsale, with a stop in Dungrabhen... Breathtaking scenery along the way...

Recently Remodeled
My first stay at the Actons was in 1994 and most recently, August, 2008. Wow, what an upgrade they have made to this hotel! The upgrade may have taken a little of the old world charm away, but the upgrade in amentities is worth. It is still in a spectacular location along the inner harbor close to all o fthe many shops in Kinsale.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
Don't miss the Kinsale Crystal shop with a 5 minute walk of the hotel. The shop is operated by a former Waterford master craftsman and his sons.

Sehr schöne Lage in einem sehr
Sehr schöne Lage in einem sehr schönen Städtchen. Preis-Leistungs- verhältnis für Kinsale glauben wir ist ganz gut. Hotel ist sehr schön nur die Zimmer sind schon renovierungsbedürftig. Frühstück war sehr gut. Würde wieder hinfahren.
