Delighted wirth this hotel. All perfect. Beautiful modern spacious room, very nice breakfast. Initial issue we had with the room was very kindly and promptly resolved by Annette, who made us feel very welcome at the hotel. Many thanks :)
I checked into this hotel as part of a road trip of the south-west of Ireland, The staff were helpful and the room was excellent. We were on the top floor and had a nice view of the distant mountains and the town centre. The hotel is very central.
There are some very nice restaurants, pubs, shops, a cinema and an outlet store nearby. It's a short walk from the train station. The hotel can provide day trips, e.g. A trip a road the Gap of Dunloe, a climb of Carrauntoohil with a lunch and many others. There is free and fast wiki throughout the hotel.
The breakfast was excellent.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
The Porterhouse bar is a short distance from this hotel. It has a great atmosphere and really good food. From the entrance turn left then left again at the road. It is only a 2 minute walk on the left hand side of the road.
Out of all 7 hotels that we had booked for our vacation, this hotel had no record of our booking and made us feel as if we had done something wrong when we came to check in. The failed to tell us that the parking fees were included in the cost
and then when we asked about the parking fee they made us feel as if we again had done something wrong. The food at breakfast was acceptable but not great and the bar in the hotel was closed by 9pm (which is not uncommon for Ireland, but it would have been nice if they were open later.)
If would only recommend this hotel to a friend if I knew that they error at check-in would not happen to them as well.
