Wishing I was still in Ireland!
Spacious room in a great location
A nice clean option right near the Castle and many restaurants and pubs. The hotel is trying very hard to be swank, and failing in my opinion, but offer clean and spacious rooms. The included breakfast was pretty good as well.

Stylish, Comfitable, Central, Affordable
One of the largest bedrooms I have had the pleasure to stay in. The staff & management were friendly and responsive to any query or request that was put to them, including a matter we raised in regards to the shower within the bathroom. No pool is on the property but the free use of a local pool was offered. The cost of the restaurant is uncompetitive, but the food is of a high quality & there are affordable alternatives & night spots just outside the door... great location.

Great Hotel
We drove by the hotel once or twice before locating it and parked on the street before checking in as we did not see the driveway for their lot. The parking lot was very tight but there were open spots even with the hotel being full. It seemed safe also as it was secluded behind the hotel and other buildings. The woman at check in was very friendly. We arrived late in the evening and knew finding dinner would be difficult. We asked her for recommendation and she told us about one of her favorite spots. Then she called to make sure they were still serving and told the staff we were on our way. The room was nice and we had a pretty good view of Kilkenny Castle out our window. Everything in the hotel felt very clean and well kept. There was a bar and restuarant in the hotel which seemed nice though we did not go there. The bar was open until 3am. Breakfast was included and was pretty good. Location was good. It was on the edge of the nightlife scene so it wasn't loud or rowdy right outside which was good. Right around the corner from the castle. Everything in Kilkenny was just a short-medium walk away. Overall very happy this this hotel choice.

Smithwick's Brewery tour was very good. The brewery is shutting down and moving operations to Dublin in December 2013 so get in while you can!

Heart of Kilkenny, modern boutique hotel
This hotel was really lovely. The room was clean and tastefully decorated, had one of the largest bathrooms we'd seen during our stay in Ireland (and a tub!), and the staff were very helpful. In spite of being in the city, it was quiet. There was plenty of free parking around back. The location is great for walking to shops and all manner of pubs and restaurants. Plus, breakfast is included. All in all, great value for a great location, and the hotel is lovely to boot.

Check out Kyteler's Inn nearby. It's a bit of a tourist pub, but the lamb stew is quite good, and they have very good trad music as well.
