There is an Old World Charm about the Woodstock Golf & Spa Hotel Ennis, but during my visit it was very quiet. My room wasn't ready on time (surprised given the lack of guests)? and I had to wait in the bar while it was being prepared which was
fine; bar lady was friendly and chatty.
The room was bigger than expected with a view of the golf course, the bathroom was a good size and the water pressure was fantastic! but the cleanliness of my room was not to standard and the restaurant was empty in the evening thus the lack of atmosphere and buzz around the place... My evening meal was fine, but the breakfast the next morning was not the best and the service was disappointing..(grumpy and rude waiter)!
My next door neighbours were very noisy and I had to call reception in the middle of the night to sort them out..... The leisure centre was the best part and I did enjoy a couple of hours relaxing in this area of the hotel.... I wanted to have a spa treatment, but it was closed on this occasion?
Think the hotel could use a facelift (particularly inside) perhaps replace the carpets, the cleaning staff and the attitude of some kitchen staff!
It was good value for what I paid, but I'd rather pay a little more and get exactly the service and pampering I really deserve!

Great Spa
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Woodstock. Room was spacious and ovelooked the golf course. Staff was professional and friendly. One drawback is the location unless you have a car.
