Dublin's fair City Hotel

The hotel has a wow factor when walk through the doors. We were early checking in but the receptionist was able to arrange the rooms straight away. The rooms were a little dark but adequate for a short stay. The restaurants were of a high standard and breakfast (open from 7 to 10 am) was very nice. Bar area great, always staff on hand. All in all an enjoyable stay, would go back again. Thanks

take the hop on hop off buses, saved money and they go to all the attractions and run very frequently. I thought the Temple Bar area a little seedy but found a great bar with excellent live music on the outskirts, sorry didn't get full name but had Merchant in the tilte.

Great location, expected more for 4 stars

Perfect central location to get around Dublin. Close to Temple Bar, Grafton Street, and public transport / tour bus options. Lobby, restaurant and bar areas were great and a nice place to relax at the end of the day. Our room was basic and not what I expected for a four star hotel. No space for anything other than the bed and a small table and chair for one, walls were paper thin, there was no air conditioning, and to top it off they decided to re-paint the hall that our room was on. Paid a premium expecting 4 star quality and this fell short.

Good location and comfy room

The staff were very welcoming from the moment I wrote an email asking for directions. The hotel is very extravagantly decorated in a style that never ceases to amaze. The location is great and breakfast (not included in the price so ten euros) endless - you could sit and stuff yourself all morning if you chose to.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

The Sinn Fein Bookshop guided tour of the Easter Rising and the reasons for it was incredible! It really brought home the injustices of Irish history and made the whole of Dublin centre come alive. Some insignificant shabby street corner suddenly became the location of a great act of bravery. Go along, you will love it.

Birthday Getaway

The location is totally unbeatable if you want to enjoy Dublin city center. You are only a few blocks away from most of the top attractions and a very short taxi ride to the rest.

It is an OK'ish hotel

A nice'ish hotel. The bathroom smelt though when I arrived and from my room at the back of the hotel you could hear constant announcements over the next door fire station PA system. The rooms at the front of the hotel on the road were small and noisy and the rest of the hotel was full. Ask for a central court yard facing room if staying there

Run away!

Worst hotel I have ever stayed. Room had a stench. It wasn't clean. Wireless quality was terrible in the room and because it was free didn't mean it could pass for being poor. Service staff were quite rude. Overall terrible experience.
