It Was Okay
I loved the interior design; very whimsical and fanciful. The staff was not particularly friendly or welcoming. Our room was on the quiet side where the fire department is located. They must have been conducting practice drills because the noise was very loud and annoying in the late afternoon/early evening when we were trying to nap after our long flight from the US . The staff person assured me that it would quiet down and it did finally. Apparently, it is quieter on this side rather than the on the front/traffic side of the hotel. The room is very small but the beds are so comfortable! The towels are limited and worn and the bathroom tile work was in need of repair. Overall, I would recommend the hotel but with great reservations and warnings.

Good Location
The hotel was good for the price. Location is in a nice area in the city. [...] If you stay I wouldn't suggest ordering any drinks at the bar because the workers are experienced, and also the food isn't very good. The hotel could be greater if they had more experienced hotel workers.

You will sacrifice a bit for this great location
This is a mixed bag. I paid very little for this hotel, around $100 a night and got a terrific location. You're 5-10 minute walk from Trinity, and from Trinity you can walk to about 100 other amazing Dublin locations. As for the hotel I stayed on the fourth floor and the room was super hot even with the heat off. The internet wifi was mediocre at best, the room was not well lit and not that spacious. Its nothing memorable but simply a place to shower, sleep and head out. Worst part is that the hotel is adjacent to a fire station so get ready to hear it all!

Great location
In great location. Service, however, nothing outstanding. Very poor restaurant recommendations. OK place if you don't expect anything fancy and just want location near Temple Bar and Trinity College. Rooms clean, though spartan.

Nice
Hotel was nice, updated. Our bed was really comfortable. Only compliant was that the rooms were hot and so we had the window open and the place is next to a firehouse which was doing drills all day (we needed to sleep after a long flight). The location is great, 3 blocks to Trinity Bar district.

Trinity Capital Dublin
This hotel is well located and depending on the rate you get, can be reasonable. But the rooms have a lot of wear and tear and so do the bathrooms. There is no wireless internet or airport shuttle, despite the fact that thier advertising claims there is. And our TV shut itself off about every 15 minutes.

Not bad
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Paying 1 euro for 8 minutes to use the internet was ridiculous. The internet is slow and its absolutely unreasonable to pay that much. The decor looks like a bad attempt at a modernized eighties hotel. The decor really shouldn't be a major factor into the choice of your hotel, but the dark and dreary looking hallways added to its creepiness.

Great Location
Trinity Capital was located in a great location and considering the price, I'd say we got a bargain. The staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast was OK, not the best but that's probably because I"m an American. One complaint is at lest one side of the hotel is located next to the Dublin Fire Brigade, which was extremely noisy in the morning.

Time-saving tip:
Not Applicable
Take the Dublin City On and Off tour. It's 14-16 Euro but it's for two days and it's a guided tour that you can join and leave whenever you please. It takes you to all the key tourist points in the city and you can always find a bus.

Dublin
Great location!!! Close to everything that one wants to see when in Dublin. It was also close to the DART station, when we traveled outside of central Dublin. The hotel staff was very friendly and had great knowledge of the area. The hotel is very colorful and a lot of character. The only negative thing I can say about this hotel is that it is right next to a fire station. One can hear all the alarms and noise coming from the station. The room was bigger than your average European Hotel room but we got a room with a bad view. The view was the fire station

Cool decor average hotel
Don't even bother trying to get early check in. My flight arrived at 7am and I was told their housekeeping staff doesn't even come to work until 10am. I finally got in my room at 11:25am. Lobby staff made no attempt to make myself and another early arrived comfortable. A little hospitality, a cup of coffee, a place to was our faces, etc would have made all the difference. Room was very dark. No big overhead light. One entrance light, small bedside light on either side and one small desk lamp. Never got Internet to work in my room despite having the tech there twice. Only wi-fi is in the lobby but it is free. My room 633 was on the fire station side and I could hear their PA system all night. Another guest on the other side said the street noise was no better and constant so I suppose that is just the issue with Central Dublin. Lots of noise but definitely no extra insulation to reduce it.
