Great location

Comfortable rooms and a great location if you want to listen to trad music in Dublin. Head to Bowe's for really great authentic non-touristy music, and it's about 2 minutes from the hotel. Great decor in the lobby, although the rooms are pretty standard. Great value for the location though!

Great location

We were in Dulin at the end of January and stayed at the Trinity Capital. The location was great, just around the corner from the river and close to shops and bars. The staff at the hotel were helpful, and dealt with all queries in an efficient and friendly manner.

The Arlington Hotel have live music and dancing every evening with the option of a 3 course meal for 30 Euros. The food was excellent and even though we are not too fussy on Irish music we enjoyed the group and the dancing.

You will sacrifice a bit for this great location

This is a mixed bag. I paid very little for this hotel, around $100 a night and got a terrific location. You're 5-10 minute walk from Trinity, and from Trinity you can walk to about 100 other amazing Dublin locations. As for the hotel I stayed on the fourth floor and the room was super hot even with the heat off. The internet wifi was mediocre at best, the room was not well lit and not that spacious. Its nothing memorable but simply a place to shower, sleep and head out. Worst part is that the hotel is adjacent to a fire station so get ready to hear it all!

You're super close to everything - Trinity college is the beginning of many amazing sites both on campus and away from it.

great location for a couple

Really liked the hotel. It was very convenient and close to the centre of Dublin, at the side of Trinity College. It was also only a couple of hundred yards from the airport bus stop. Good amenities in the Hotel, good value for money in the resturant and the bar was excellent. Excellent breakfast. Minor problem at check in but soon sorted out, would definitely go back again and would recommend it to anyone

Great Atmosphere

Restaurant (Cafe Cairo) and reception have great atmosphere, funky decor and the history is given for the building and surroundings. Very comfortable room with lovely decor-- one irritating feature--like many Irish hotels, the hair dryer cannot be used in the bathroom, but where the dryer was:..attached, in the desk, did not allow for a mirror with any kind of light to actually do your hair.--Especially since there was a very large mirror in the entrance( which was lit up properly) which could have been used if the dryer were not attached. Not very good planning and easily remedied-- just allow the hair dryers free rein!!

Definite place to stay *****

Arrived early due to flight schedules but hotel allowed us to get our check in done even though the room was not ready and then we were able to leave our bags at the hotel so we could start exploring Dublin. Great location near all major attractions and shopping. Got back to the hotel at 3pm but the room still was not ready so the hotel upgraded us to a new room. Very nice room and very comfortable...only complaint about the room was the lighting was very dim through out the room...too low even for comfortable reading. But the restaurant in the hotel was fantastic for dinner...first class.

Fantastic location

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay at this hotel. The staff was very helpful and eager to make our stay perfect. An earlier reviewer described the place "like falling down the rabbit hole" as the decor is a litlle trippy.....but when you are out and about all day and night in the city, who really cares? What makes this hotel a great place is the location. You are a 5 to 10 minute walk to anything. To Temple Bar, Grafton Street, St Stephens, River Liffy, Tara Street Station for the DART line. Bus stops for the links to the airport or to the hop on//hop off bus are both just 5min away. There is a SPAR right around the corner. ONLY drawback is it is above the firestation, but to us it was an added charm! We will go back for sure.

You can grab a baguette and pat of butter at the SPAR on your way into the hotel at night for less than 1 euro. Voila! Easy am breakfast and you are good to go.

Exquisitely decorated hotel

It was beautiful and conveniently located, and the staff was helpful and polite, but the wireless internet connection was terrible. Thankfully there was a computer in the lobby for guest use, although you had to pay for it's use. The restaurant had good food and the bartenders were friendly and informative, but the room service wasn't the best I've ever had.
