What is it about hotels and outlets?

Nice enough hotel. Our room was very big corner room overlooking the back streets of Dublin. The location was good, close to the city center. The hotel staff were very nice, helpful, and efficient. The 15 euro buffet breakfast was very good. The bakery two doors down had fantastic croissants for just 3 euros. Lots of choices for breakfast. Negatives- the room was ok but worn and dated, one hard to reach outlet for everything including blow dryer, chargers, coffee pot, etc., and flimsy shower curtain that wouldn't stay closed.

Good location, reasonable value

Overall, the hotel is in good location. It is now under new ownership, or about to be. They will need to spend a little on staff and renovations but overall the price, location, drinks are good value and would go back.

Weekend getaway

Older hotel that's been remodeled, needs more up to date furnishings. For the price breakfast should be included, staff was excellent. They did a great job maintaining the aging facility.

Great location, lovely hotel

Arrived early, and reception found us a great room immediately, and we were overlooking the Liffey. Had read other reviews and expected the hotel to be a shabby has-been, but it was well appointed, clean and contemporary with a good bar and helpful staff.

Great location, modern, but needs a bit of a renovation

This hotel is really great. It's like a W Hotel in Dublin. The location is very convenient. (But, with that said, Dublin is a walkable city, so a location a bit farther from Temple Bar would have been fine.) I did have the feeling that the furnishings in the home were a bit old. It would be good if they touched up the place. Besides that, I really enjoyed my stay there. I would recommend it to my friends.

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

Don't hang out too much in Temple Bar. Ask the locals were the real pubs are. And, don't bother with fish n' chips. It's just a tasteless, greasy mess.
