Sore toes

Upon check in our room was not ready and we had to wait. Then the room we were given was the smallest we had while in Ireland on a 10 day trip. While I was taking a shower the control knob for the shower fell off and hit my toes. I had a hard time walking. I called the manager to report this and they really did nothing to help. When I asked to be moved to a room with a properly working shower knob they acted put out. They did bring me some ice to use for my swollen toes but it really ruined the rest of our stay having a sore foot. The shower also had tile missing and the floor tile was loose and actually came all the way off. I would not recommend this hotel while in Dublin.

Small, uncomfortable room, overpriced

The room was very small and bare. The staff was incredibly unhelpful. The location is centric, but very noisy. Grossly overpriced. I would never go back there.

The Gresham- well faded glory

Lobby is really nice, so had high hopes. Alas, they were dashed. Room was very small, with the walls and doors showing their age- bulging plaster patches, a door jamb that looked like a SWAT team had given it some love. IKEA-quality wardrobe and desk. TV remote didn't work properly (programming problem with the TV, not a battery issue). Water took forever to get hot in both the sink and shower. We were well acquainted with all our neighbor's bathroom habits by the end of the night. Bed was hard as a rock, and squeaky to boot. AC didn't work. Overall, not worth the price for the standard room. An upgraded one, maybe, but then for that price you can get the super-deluxe at several other locations.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Temple Bar is lively, popular, and packed. Of course, worth seeing, but go off the beaten path for truly good times.

Tiny, noisy room

A tiny room in the very noisy front portion of the hotel with no recourse to change rooms short of paying a significant price upgrade.

Does the job

We needed a one night deal in Dublin. It is not four star. The only thing it has going for itself is location. It was clean but nothing special to write home about.

Faded Past

My wife wanted to stay at the Gresham eversince she was a small girl. Well was she ever disappointed. The lobby area may be impressive, but the room accomodations are something else. Our room had the distinction of facing a wall........great view!! My wife got a panic attack in the night and tried to open a bathroom window with no luck. The pillows on the bed were the worst ever...like sleeping on rocks!! This hotel needs a major makeover.

The key system doesn´t operating

The key system doesn´t operating correct you need more than 30 times inserting of the key card for successful opening the door. If you turn on the cold water tap you have to wait min. 3 minutes for cold water. If you want to rent a car the stuff don´t manage it but they recommend to you 30 minutes walk to the town at rential company with uncomfort opening hours.

Not Bad

I went on a two day trips and did some sight seeing around the city. The hotel was nice. But overpriced. This beds were hard for my taste and had a no top sheet only a comforter. Instant coffee. No AC in the rooms so it was hot at night. Showers and tub combo was small. The best part of the hotel in the nice people who work there and the location.
