Ideal for concerts at 3 Arena

My wife and I were in Dublin for Sting/Paul Simon recently and stayed at the Gibson Hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the facilities are excellent. The rooms are spacious, clean and bright. I highly recommend a visit to the relaxation area on the top floor! The bar and restaurant are also good.

best hotel

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.Out of city centre but tram stop outside made it all very easy to get about.Very quirky and fantastic bedroom with balcony, View not very good but as time goes on this should improve. Food and drinks excellent and reasonably priced in lovely setting with music and even 80's dj. It was an excellent birthday trip and we will be back,

Great hotel, large, clean room.

Not much bad to say about this place. The room was clean and was ready early - the food in the restaurant was decent and the accommodations were new and modern. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dublin.

Engagement celebration

From the moment we arrived at the hotel the staff were outstanding. My brother had booked a junior suite for two nights as he planned to propose to his girlfriend. He had arranged for all the family to be there also to surprise her. He phoned ahead and asked if I could get into his room to put champagne and roses in it. When I spoke to the lovely young lady who booked me in she explained that she was training and had made a mistake with getting the suite ready in time. She went to the manager and explained what had happened and they up graded my brother to the Gibson suite. This was a fantastic room loads of space with a balcony all the way round. They also popped a bottle of procesco in an ice bucket with two glasses. All these little touches and going the extra mile made it very special for them. In the restaurant down stairs we were served by a genuinely nice guy called David. He was great fun and had banter with us while still getting us our drinks and food. Location was great right next to the O2 , near the ferry port and there was a tram outside the door to make it easy to get into Dublin while keeping the costs down. Overall our experience in the hotel was outstanding . We would diffintely stay again and I'm more than happy to recommend it to others.

Brilliant weekend away

We arrives at the hotel at 10.30a.m. Staff were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in to our rooms as they were both ready which was a bonus. My son was celebrating his 21st birthday and they arranged for a lovely plate with happy birthday written in chocolate along with two lovely cupcakes and a card. Hotel was a bit off the beaten track but the Luas tram system stopped/terminated right outside which was great. Rooms were large with everything you needed. One slight negative (and I'm nit picking here) was that there was no where to put the soap at the sink although we did improvise and use the used tea bag dish!! All in all a great hotel with attention to detail thrown in and would definitely return/recommend :-)
