Croke Park Stay
We just returned from a 7 night stay at the Croke Park Hotel. The staff could not have been any nicer. The hotel rooms were large and very comfortable and very quiet. We arrived at the hotel at 10 pm and had not had any dinner, we went into the lounge for a nightcap, and when we asked about food the kitchen stayed open so that we could have a meal. It was not expected and very much appreciated. The location is not the best but we had no trouble getting a cab and there was an excellent restaurant within easy walking distance (Italian food and excellent). I received a friendly greeting every morning from the housekeeping staff and front desk. I would highly recommend this hotel

Nightlife tip:
Short drive from hotel
The Brazen Head pub was a great place to go in the evening. Go early it gets crowded in the evening. It is the oldest pub in Dublin and well worth a look.

Great vacation
It is a little out of the way for a downtown visitor, but easy to get to from the airport (I had a rental car). The staff was universally helpful, even with some strange problems I had. The free breakfast was good, the room comfortable, the area is just fine (some of these reviewers seem to think the area is bad--I didn't feel at all unsafe even late at night). It's a quiet, comfortable place a short taxi-drive from downtown.

Great for GAA action
Right across the street from the GAA Croke Park Stadium. Little further away from City Center. Not much directly around the area and have to walk around 15-20 minutes to get to anything. Great bed, bathrooms, friendly staff!

Very Nice Hotel
Stayed here for Three Nights. Staff were extreamly friendly. Room was clean and modern and comfortable. Coffee and tea in room. Free Parking below. Wifi in the Lobby, and in the hallway, and it sometimes reached into the Room. The Bar was fun the night of a Game. And the Hotel is right accross the street from the Stadium. Which was nice. We got to see Irish Rules Football. they Even Kept the Big Screen TV up and the bar open till 2am so we could watch the Superbowl. It is a bit far from the city center, but not a bad walk from the bus line. or a heafty walk if you feel up for it.

Clean Hotel, Professional Staff
I stayed in the hotel for five days in the Winter of 2012. I had a very pleasant stay. The staff was very professional and the housekeeping was impeccable. One late night during my stay, the fire alarm went off by mistake. The staff kept me informed immediately the following day about the mistake and apologized for any inconvenience. I really appreciated being informed about the incident. The hotel is right next to Croke Park. There were no scheduled games when I stayed at the hotel. So the area was quiet during my stay. I am not sure if having games at Croke Park will change the quiet surroundings of the hotel.

Very nice hotel, far walk
The good: this is a top notch hotel with great staff, great amenities, great rooms. The bar and restaurant downstairs are great, the concierge is helpful, and the rooms are larger than typical Dublin rooms. The bad: the significant downside of the hotel is that it's located 15-20 minutes walk from the city center or a five minute walk to the bus stop.
