Dining

Restaurant
The Sussex Restaurant has long been established as the first in fine-dining for both guests and local residents. Amidst an Art Nouveau Cafe Paris-type ambience, the restaurant echoes an era of times past - where smiling, friendly waiters tend to your every request - the bright, glass recesses in the walls allowing for ample natural light during the day and setting a chattering, romantic scene by night. A special Breakfast is served in the Sussex Restaurant - a vast, delicious buffet including cereals, mueslis, yoghurts, fresh fruits, meats, delicate pastries, warm breads and a variation of cooked breakfasts including a "Full Irish" with fresh coffee and a wide selection of teas. Lunch and Dinner is also served in the Sussex Restaurant from varied menus using the best of fresh, local produce - complemented by a meticulously selected wine list.
Bar
The low-lit expanse of this chic, contemporary bar make it a great place to enjoy a pre-dinner chilled aperitif, a zingy cocktail or a cool drink - or simply to join in on the busy chatter of guests and locals alike. A hub of friends and colleagues, Bellini's has become hugely popular since re-opening its doors as a modern progression on the legendary Buck Mulligan's Bar - despite its new interior, the conversation remains the same.

Great hotel

I've stayed at the Burlington a few times and it's a great hotel. Not too far away from the city centre. Staff are always friendly. You can enjoy a quiet drink in the Bellini bar and it's not too pricey

Very comfortable

I made plans to take a group bus tour out in the Irish countryside, and this hotel was one of the pick-up locations for the tour, so I decided to stay here. The room was very nice and clean, looked like it was newly rennovated. Good location. The staff was pretty friendly and helpful- I forgot to bring a US power-adapter and they had one available that I could borrow, which was nice. The only negative thing was when I used the coffee maker in the room, even though I filled it with the specified amount of water, it spewed hot coffee out of the spout all over the place and drenched my iPhone, so be careful with that!

Dissapointed

Stayed in the Burlington several times before always good location fantastic Unfortunately this time when I arrived in the room only 2 stations working on the TV Went to reception to ask for it to be tuned in before my return that night and guess what nothing done about it so rang reception at 12.15 that night to be told no maintenance until morning and would I like to move at that hour of the night. Didn't think so but when you sell rooms you at least expect the tv to be as advertised and for the staff to care a little bit more. Would have to consider returning in the future and It was always my choice when staying in dublin

Good place to stay for a city trip

For our 7 day stay for the St. Patricks festivities this hotel was a perfect place to stay, as it is at walking distance (15 min.) from e.g. Trinity college. Only a small remark on the state the hotel is in: it could do with an update of the interior (in fact, during our stay redecorating work was started. Keep up to good work!).

So So stay

Stayed for Paddys day as it was central location and easy to find. Check in was fine, but when I got to the room it was two singles instead of a double bed as requested. Called down to reception and was fairly rudely told that there were no rooms and I had gotten what I requested. As they had taken my booking information sheet on check in I had no proof that I hadnt requested single beds. Food took forever to be prepared and was woken up early the next morning by couple fighting in next room. Light fixtures and some plugs were broken in the room, and overall seemed a bit run down. Would think that this is a three star hotel at best and would only book here again due to location.

Wonderful Introduction to Dublin

The Burlington was very accessible to the airlink bus from the airport, making the connections very easy. It was a pleasant walk to shopping and dining. The staff greeted us with a smile, offered dining suggestions and even upgraded our room. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and the dining environment was very pleasant! Great experience!

2nd stay at the Burlington.

We arrived early in the morning and were allowed to check in upon arrival at the hotel. Short walk to anything you want to do. Bus 46A gets you to city center very quickly if you don't want to walk. Prior to going to Dublin, the reservation department was very helpful with any questions we had. Food is fantastic!

Great hotel!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant had reasonable prices, compared to Dublin prices overall (Dublin is a pricey place to vacation!) The rooms were very clean and modern. The lobby provided large, comfortable space in which to visit with friends and linger. Very pleasing stay!

Shopping tip: Long walk from hotel

The cheapest place found to buy souveniers was O'Carrolls, just off Grafton Street. After purchasing souveniers in many of the museum gift shops, we found O'Carrolls, where we could have saved lots of money!
