Dining
- Restaurant
- The Sussex Restaurant has long been established as the first in fine-dining for both guests and local residents. Amidst an Art Nouveau Cafe Paris-type ambience, the restaurant echoes an era of times past - where smiling, friendly waiters tend to your every request - the bright, glass recesses in the walls allowing for ample natural light during the day and setting a chattering, romantic scene by night. A special Breakfast is served in the Sussex Restaurant - a vast, delicious buffet including cereals, mueslis, yoghurts, fresh fruits, meats, delicate pastries, warm breads and a variation of cooked breakfasts including a "Full Irish" with fresh coffee and a wide selection of teas. Lunch and Dinner is also served in the Sussex Restaurant from varied menus using the best of fresh, local produce - complemented by a meticulously selected wine list.
- Bar
- The low-lit expanse of this chic, contemporary bar make it a great place to enjoy a pre-dinner chilled aperitif, a zingy cocktail or a cool drink - or simply to join in on the busy chatter of guests and locals alike. A hub of friends and colleagues, Bellini's has become hugely popular since re-opening its doors as a modern progression on the legendary Buck Mulligan's Bar - despite its new interior, the conversation remains the same.

weekend break
The room was quiet and comfortable but a few things could improve. The TV was virtually black and white and the remote was not working properly. The net curtains were hanging down at the side. Parking was a bit awkward at times with the validation of the parking ticket not working on occasionsl.

If you like tour buses this is your place, many of them. We were to have a king bed but only received a small double. Other rooms had two doubles which would have been fine but there were none left! Service was very good in lounge! A little outside city center but walk about depending on weather. Would recommend the Obrien pub and sussex restaurant upstairs. They are located just down the street, corner of Sussex and Leeson.

Very nice hotel, good location, staff needs a friendliness boost
Our stay at the Burlington was overall very pleasant. The Hotel is within walking distance from St. Stephen's Green from you can catch any bus and the hop-on hop-off Dublin bus. The room was very comfortable, the bed was extraordinary, there was more than enough space. It isn't the best 4-star hotel we stayed in, but it was definitely a genuine 4-star. The staff however was rather on the unfriendly side - during check in they discussed in front of us wether they should give us a certain room that we had booked and wether they should make us register a credit card for our hotel expenses. There were also two fire alarms on two consecutive days. The first was late at night and the other one was at 5 AM. There was no announcement whatsoever and no staff on the corridors, also no one picked up the phone at the Front Desk. We took the fire exit stairs to the lobby, to be told in the most relaxed manner that it was just a false alarm. The second time around they also thought that it was no big deal, which I found worrying, because had there actually been a fire, many guests including us, wouldn't have gone out of the building thinking that it was a false alarm again. When we wanted to check out, they wanted to charge us a different amount from what we had already prepaid anyway, which we also thought was incredibly unprofessional. When we asked them to change for us a € 500 bill, they brought back the amount in € 5 and € 10 bills, with no apology or any phrase that could lead us to understand that it wasn't done on purpose.

Nice Lobby!
We arrived early (about 9am) to the hotel on our day of check in. Our room wasn't ready, so after breakfast in the hotel both my husband and I, after a LONG flight, fell asleep in the lobby. About an hour later our room was ready, and after our lovely nap, so were we. The staff is super nice and very helpful.

Wonderful bedding. Slept nicely except for hearing the people in the next room! Walls are thin. Ate at Sussex down the road, in the upstairs room. Delicious duck. Hotel did NOT provide extra towels or body lotion. Food at the bar was not tasty.

May 2012 trip
I booked this hotel for a first and last day of a trip to Ireland in May 2012. There were three people in the group so we used the three bed room. Felt like everything was from Ikea but had a good clean feel to it. If you are just going to use the room to sleep, shower, etc... it is a great location and perfectly adequate. There is a good breakfast buffet in the morning and the bar / restaurant has a good selection for dinner. Please note the kitchen closes at 10 pm local time so, don't expect to be able to come in and eat late.

They close to kitchen at 10pm and it appears most pubs and restaurants in the area also close at this time, plan accordingly.
