Great price/value
The breakfast was expensive, and the front desk staff was often MIA, and the Internet access was only in the public areas, and the discounted parking was too far from the hotel for easy carriage of baggage, but the location near Parnell Square couldn't be more convenient for learning about Dublin, and the room was clean and comfortable, and locals patronize the bar.

Convenient location with economy
I chose this hotel for it's price and found that it was a perfect location for me. It was within easy walking distance to the Temple Bar area , restaurants and shops. But more than that it was convenient to many transportation options, The bed was very comfortable and breakfast plentiful. The location was, for the most part, quiet. There were occasions when Dublin didn't sleep as after their long awaited soccer victory. Who could blame them for that.

Take a day trip on DART along the coast, Stop off at Howth for lunch and the radio museum,. Then ride south and get on and off as the mood strikes you. I also took a 3 day tour through Cork, Kinsale, Killarney, and The Cliffs of Moher. I enjoyed the old castles, the Blarney Stone, colorful homes, the exhibit of different sheep and the trained dogs who sheephered them with whistled signals.

Great place, though location is open to debate.
Honestly I liked this place. For the value it was much better than expected. I paid more for a hotel in London that wasn't half as nice as this. I only mention the location since most people I met traveling in Ireland wanted to stay closer to Temple. While a 10-15 minute walk it isn't far, some people may balk at it. That said I liked the place. The food at the bar/restaurant was good, though they could use better beer selection, but I'm picky.

Great value for the location!
Very close to O'Connell street so it made walking, and taking the bus, Luas, and the train very easy! The price was excellent! The staff is very helpful and the pub had a local musician so it was nice to have a drink there.

For trinkets and souvenirs, try Carrolls. There are two on O'Connell street. They were the best priced....

Would not recommend if you have kids
We stayed at this place for 3 nights and it was okay, but would not recommend booking this hotel if you have kids and want to slip during the night. First, we were put in the smoking room, even though we had non-smoking room requested. When we asked if room that was given to us was non-smoking, we were told that nobody had smoked in it during last stay , so we had to request a room change. Also, since there is a bar across the road, be prepared not to slip till about 3 am in the morning, even after that bar was closed, people were still sitting outside. When we looked at location it appeared to be pretty quiet, but in reality it wasn't. Other than that, location by itself is not bad, walking distance to a lot of attractions. Room was okay not too clean, but big. Again, always ask if the room is non-smoking, before you proceed to your with all your luggage!

first time to Ireland
Our room was very confortable and the staff were very helpful. We took tours and enjoyed the country. The Dublin tour company needed some improvement. We went to Connemara and was very disapointed, We switched buses 5 times going and coming. The day tour of Wicklow by coachtours of Ireland were great.

Very enjoyable first time abroad
We had a very enjoyable time in Dublin. Hotel was bare bones but fine if you are out and about and just need a place to shower and sleep. Wake up calls were prompt and the desk staff were very helpful. Highly recommend NOT getting a room on the 1st floor - too much noise from the restaurant/bar at the hotel, the restaurant/bar across the street and street traffic.

Clean, Friendly, Worth the Price
I was in Dublin to start and end a tour of Ireland and stayed at the Belvedere Hotel at the beginning of my trip and at the end. The price for the hotel [...] was very reasonable. The staff at the hotel responded to my emails. We arrived in Dublin early and were able to store our luggage there for the day while out exploring the city before check in. It's no more than a 15 minute walk to Suffolk Street (where most of the tourist stuff is) and also a very short walk to the hop on hop off bus tour of Dublin and the Air Coach Bus O'Connell Street stop to and from the airport. The rooms were clean, and the hotel was safe, no complaints here.

Satisfactory Stay
My sister and I stayed here three nights, and had very little to complain about. Aside from some minor issues like a bathroom door that stuck, a sink faucet that was way too high power, and beds that could have been more comfortable, we enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff helpful. You have to take a bus from the airport to get to the downtown, but once there you can walk most places without much trouble. All in all we would probably stay here again.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Breakfast is not included in the hotel price, but there are places to eat on nearby O Connell Street for cheaper prices. Also, if you're having trouble finding some place, don't be afraid to ask the policemen stationed around the city for directions. They were extremely friendly and helpful.

2 years in the planning!
Hotel was a great place to stay, however we arrived at 7:30 AM and they made us wait till 1:20 to tell us the reservations were messed up and we were given a room with one single bed. That was a problem as there were two of us. They did nothing to straighten out the situation and offered us nothing to ease the issue.
