I would not like to be there if there was a fire because the corridors are narrow with a lot of twists and turns.

Friendly Staff Hotel lobby/lounge/dining area ok Accommodation out-dated and very tired One lift 'out of order', I felt the other one was 'unsafe' - I took the stairs ! Room small but clean - bathroom a bit shabby ! €27.95 for 3 small glasses of wine + 1 coffee was BAD value ! Not a pleasant experience :((

Dream vacation

Would not recommend Sat, Nov 21, 2015
Hotel is further from Dublin then expected not even walking distance to anything. Taxis add up quick. There is a bus system that is ok. They have a shuttle bus but it doesn't take you into Dublin, to the airport, or anywhere you need or would want to go. It's rated a 4 star hotel but should be rated maybe 2. You do not have an ice machine, refrigerators, or even a continental breakfast. The elevator did not work so I had to walk up flights of stairs after walking around all day. The TV was maybe 20 inches at most an only had 10-15 channels. (Glad I was out and about most the time) the staff was the best thing. They were nice and always gave directions. I would not reccomend this hotel.

Upgrade from poor room to excellent room

Would recommend Mon, Nov 2, 2015
The website where I booked indicated there might be a separate lounge off the bedroom & the images were of a beautifully renovated room. However the standard room I received was basic and not upgraded. Overall it was clean but the fan heater had dust & dirt inside & the furniture / fittings needed updating. I could hear other guests in the hallway & in the neighbouring room as the walls were quite thin. It was disappointing as I would have been able to stay closer to the city centre for the same price but the details provided when I booked seemed to suggest it was worth it. The staff offered an upgrade which was appreciated & the suite I received was excellent. There was a four poster bed, large couch, big screen, good coffee, good hair dryer, jacuzzi bath, plenty of space etc. It also had an extra door between the hallway & bedroom which meant I couldn't hear other guests. Overall I enjoyed the experience and could recommend the renovated suite based on what I saw.

Fine for business but not really for pleasure.

Would not recommend Wed, Jul 15, 2015
I booked this hotel last minute as my boyfriend and I needed a place to stray in Dublin. We were drawn to this place as we had googled hotels in Dublin with a pool and this came up. We should have read the description better as this hotel DOES NOT have a pool. It has a spa, but you have to pay extra for treatments and they are expensive. The hotel staff were REALLY helpful as the booking had gone through for the wrong dates. They were so nice and sorted it all out for us, plus were very friendly and professional on arrival. My boyfriend and I are in our mid twenties and this hotel is not ideal really for our age range. There is not a lot happening near by as this hotel is pretty far out of Dublin city centre. HOWEVER Blackrock is walking distance and has a couple of nice pubs. The room itself was comfortable although we were in short supply of milk to make tea/coffee - there was only enough for one cup each. There was no mini bar either. We ordered a double room but we had two beds pushed together, that was fine really and perfectly comfy. The website we booked from said there was an airport shuttle nearby - there IS but it costs 15 euros each! It would be better to stay in town and get the normal bus, which is around 3 euros each! All in all, the hotel was fine for a nights stay. But £70 for a room that doesn't include breakfast that is not particularly near anything, that definitely does not have a pool or included spa treatments, that is out of town and costs 15 Euro to get to the airport in my opinion isn't worth it. There were plenty of B&B's in the city centre that offered better value for money. The staff were the only truly excellent thing about the hotel.
