Great getaway
This is a really great hotel with great offers. Rooms are really clean and spacious and the staff are very friendly. The only slight negative is that the Luas stop is not as near when walking as you would think.

Clean, out of town but handy with a car, or the tram stop is just outside. Nice steakhouse with great food and beer. Breakfast in room was not always sizzling hot but was nice. Easy to organise a late check out. Happy enough.

Fantastic surprise for me Mum
My brother and I took our mom, who is 83yrs old, on her dream trip in her life! We started in London, up to Edinbrough, over to Londonderry where we have genealogy roots, down to Dublin! We were very excited about the stay at the Red Cow Moran. It was luxurious and warming to step in the front desk area! We were so pleased with the lift that is provided for guests, as our mother has problems with stairs. The room was very comfortable except for one thing, my brother is 6ft 4in, he kept bumping his head on the beam that extended in our room! I bumped my head as well when I went to sit at the table to use the WI FI. Everything smelled wonderful, the hallways, the room, and even the dining room where we had our breakfast. Very pleasant sitting in a bright room that is so elegantly decorated for dining! However,I did not see anyone for the 2 days we were there at the desk to help us for day activities out and about. We had questions about maps and places to eat while we were planning while out in the city sightseeing. The staff tried to help with what they could. My favoirte part in staying at the Red Cow Moran were the comfortable beds and the leisure bathtub that is so long and deep for a great soak for my tired body and feet after sightseeing! I would love to come back for another visit!

Misleading location
It claimed to be a 4 star and it was far from it. But the worst part for that it was misleading where it was located. NO WHERE NEAR city center. Which was a big bummer for our 1 night in Dublin.

Gateway 2 Ireland,without Dublin Traffic
Very good value, clean hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, great location We were served the inclusive dinner with our package between 5 and 6, even though the restauraunt didn't officially open until 6pm. On the LUAS redline, which if you don't want the hassle of driving in Dublin, this goes all the way to 'The O2 (Point)'. Lots of parking Would recommend with this website. Bit far (sometimes hard to get taxi at night - 30 euro)out of Dublin city if you are planning a night out in the city, but perfect if you use the LUAS and don't like city driving.

My wife being a non smoker found
My wife being a non smoker found that the room was quite badly smelling of smoke. I smoke but normal rooms that are smoking rooms in hotels have a nutralised smell to them which makes them acceptable to non smokers. Even myself being the smoker commented on the stale cigarette smell each time we entered the room. The hotel itself is very pleasent with nice staff. The food at this hotel and including the Red Cow Inn is excellant in terms of quality and cost (conpared to cost in the ROI). I did find the cost of coke and alcohol excessive but then this is the ROI and its expected. We would definatly use the hotel again as it is well appointed for the cost in relation to other hotels in the area that we have previously stayed in.

Stayed for 1 night as we were
Stayed for 1 night as we were going to a gig in Dublin city centre. Hotel is ideally located for drivers who dont want to drive into city centre to find a hotel, you can simply leave your car and either get the luas or taxi into town. Hotel is clean and staff are friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and modern however we found it unbearably hot in the room and had to leave for town early just to escape. There appeared to be 'air con' in the room however when set to full and cool, there wasnt any difference to room temp. As it was unseasonably hot for a standard Irish summer, this is probably a rare issue, however it would make me look elsewhere for our next stay in Dublin in order to compare hotels.

Although a little hard to access
Although a little hard to access due to road works and the Luas line is a good 10-15 minutes walk, this hotel offers excellent value for money. The standard of rooms are well above average in size and facilities. The restaurant provides an excellent variety of good food for both dinner and breakfast at a very competitive price. The weekend we stayed there were over 300 guests but you'd never have known it with the efficient way everyone was served. The staff are extremely helpful and well informed to assist guests on many queries re travel, events, etc. I would strongly recommend this hotel if you are driving to Dublin and do not want to stay directly in the centre of the city.
