Excellent location, service, rooms

Very close to Grafton Street area shopping and restaurants, but just far enough from the drunken madness of Temple Bar nightlife. Everything important (e.g., Trinity College, National Gallery, Merrion Square, the river) was in walking distance, and the staff were very friendly and helpful with directions They were always ready to give you a map and mark the way, or even print out a map from online. My daughter and I made a walking tour of O'Connell Street and environs; the cab ride back was short and cheap. The hotel is attractive and modern, from the lobby and adjoining restaurant to the comfortable rooms. I think it was the location and the professional, cordial staff that really made our visit a memorable one.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Two of us are vegetarians, and we loved Cornucopia (big portions), as well as Juice (our waitress was very accommodating). Also, around the corner from the hotel, on Camden Street, there's a good, reasonably priced breakfast spot with the unfortunate name of Yum Yum Cafe.

Great location

Loved the location. We arrived very early, but they held our baggage for us until our room was ready and then upgraded us to a king size bed. Everyone was very nice and helpful. They had one American power outlet in our room, so we didn't have to mess around with adapters.

Eat at Bewley's on Grafton street. The full Irish breakfast was around 9 euros and excellent. They also had a special after 6pm of 3 courses for 15 euro that was big enough for two to share.

Wonderful!

Unbelivably wonderful experience! We arrived at 8:30AM after flying overnight from New York. They allowed us to check in early. The room was HUGE! The bed was a KING (we had reserved a queen). The room was clean and quiet. We used the tea making facilities in the room. The staff was helpful in dealing with all of our questions, such as giving directions. Very professional and courteous. Locations was an easy 3 minute walk from major shopping areas and 5-8 minutes from the entertainment (pubs, theatres) and historical districts. Across the street from a gorgeous park. Taxis were always at the door, even in the rain. We were interested in the history of Ireland, the writers, and the traditional music. We spent 6 days in Dublin, with a one day trip to Glendalough. We would return to Ireland to do the rest of the country.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Read the menus posted outside the restaurants or pubs during the day. Lots of places had "Early Bird" or "Pre Theatre" menu for a reduced price. The choices for dinner are shown with the price. This saved a lot of running around later on. We were definitely more relaxed and we also had a wide variety of fare at various restaurants.

The staff in reception, the Magic

The staff in reception, the Magic Glasses bar and breakfast room were all very friendly and helpful. The onlky "down" is that the hotel could do with a bit of refurbishment.
