Nice hotel but a little "tired"

Great hotel. The staff was fantastic. Nice location near Trinity. Chairs in the room were very uncomfortable and the carpet had some dirty spots as well some cigarette burns on the furniture in spite of the fact that it was a no smoking room. Good place to stay for the right price but nothing to write home about.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Hotel is at the far end of Trinity College - the other three sides of the campus have a lot of shopping, dining and attractions.

Vert good

Room was very nice, but located at the back on the hotel it was very noisy from outside. We were woken very early in the morning by bottles being emptied and machines starting up. Couldn't close the window as room was very hot.

Good location, very clean.

Sunday breakfast poor. We got to breakfast at 9.30. We had to go and ask to have coffee, the buffet had not been replenished for a while. Monday breakfast much better. Staff friendly. Good room. Lovely helpful receptionists.

Great location

I thought it was a really cool part of town, but quiet enough that I could enjoy a good night's sleep.

Alexander: Mediocre but affordable

Clean enough, though the maid didn't understand English. The rest of the staff was extremely prompt and accommodating however.

Good hotel but couple of things could be better

The room was big and comfortable. The hotel location great practically in the posh part of the city. My room needed some refreshment, but it was ok. TV stations limited choice and the air conditioner was extremely laud starting and stoping every 10 minutes. To be able to sleep I had to stop it. Cleaning was OK, but not more.

Horrible hotel

Hotel was not clean, very old and not well taken care of, staff was unfriendly. I changed rooms three times upon checking in and the gave up... thermostat was broken even after they came to supposedly fix it, bathroom was moldy, very low light levels, carpet was stained and unclean

You will be surprised

I did not plan this trip a head of time. The staff were very helpful, very polite and patient. " True gentlemen" " British Style" . The location is only five minutes walk to the city center and all the main attraction less than ten minutes walk to Liffey River if you want to go for a run. Very convinent.

great hotel, staff needs work

The hotel is a great place. Very nice, clean, decent sized room. Good amenities. I wish that there had been free wi-fi. They charged for the service, and had trouble billing it to my room. The reservation didn't come over quickly. They took a credit card imprint for incidentals, but didn't put it on file somehow. Then, when I needed to charge the wi-fi to the room, the staff was very unhelpful. They didn't have the credit card that I gave them, then they gave me bad information about the computer in the lobby. A great location, great room, just not very helpful staff.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The Quays Restaurant in the Temple Bar area has fantastic food. The cottage pie and fish and chips are out of this world! And the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Highly Recommended Dublin Hotel

Very good location - on a quiet side street; reasonably near all important sites in Dublin. Hotel is crisp and clean, the rooms are well maintained and a good size. The staff was very helpful. The general feeling is that we stayed in a well managed establishment that cares about its reputation. I would strongly recommend.
