Metro Hotel and Apartments Dublin Airport

The non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke due to the ventilation system. They switched us to a new room but when we returned from dinner in the mediocre hotel restaurant it too smelled of smoke. There was no air conditioning so we had to leave the window open and the cross walk and traffic were loud during the night. We didn't initially see the hotel and had to turn around twice on nearby streets where vandalized cars were parked.

assigned a smoking room even thought non-smoking requested. took some arm twisting to get this changed.. 2Euro charge/person for airport shuttle even though listed as FREE SHUTTLE to airport.. bathroom drain was plugged, water did not get hot, shower mat was dirty/moldy. doubt I would return when there are other good hotels in the area.

The hotel was fine but they charged me 4 Euros to go to the airport. They said the service would have been free if I had booked direct [...]

great place to end our 10 day holiday. free shuttle service to and from hotel/airport was the selling point. picked up a bus close by to go to city - 1.80/pp. can't beat that! reception ladies were very pleasant and helpful. only thing - supposed to have a king bed in room - was a full size - with something broken in middle of mattress - had to turn it ourselves to sleep on it.

Based on this hotel's description, I expected it to be new and fresh, since it ostensibly had opened in 2006. It definitely was not! Apparently Days Hotel had merely been acquired from a different company in 2006, as it was tired and old. The staff was kind and helpful, and the location close to the airport with a free shuttle was very convenient. It was also convenient to the bus line.

Although the staff and hotel were clean and efficient,the hotelwas located in a very depressed area. I would not recommend because of the location.

The Days Inn was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The neighborhood could have been better, but city is making improvements. The location was beside a bus stop so it made it very handy to go places.

Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Shuttle-Dienst um 5.00 Uhr frühe funktionierte tadellos, 2 Euro pro Pers. ist oK. Mit der Buslinie 4 ist man in 15 - 20 min im Stadtzentrum (Haltestelle ca. 3 min vom Hotel entfernt). Preis für ÜN pro Zimmer (2 Pers.) ca. 50 Euro = für Flughafenähe und Ausstattung voll oK. Einziger Nachteil: Verkehrslärm durch nicht ganz dichte Fenster. Allerdings für 1 - 2 Nächte und für diesen Preis durchaus akzeptabel.
