Decent for quick layover

My hotel stay was what I expected after reading reviews on multiple sites. It was a decent hotel to stay at for my one day layover in Dublin. Nothing fancy, just a good-priced, average hotel that was close to the airport and had a free airport shuttle. I'm not overly sure about the surrounding area and what there is to do around there, but it was OK during the hours I was outside (some reviews had suggested it wasn't a great area). I arrived at the hotel long before check-in was available and they were able to hold my bag while I toured Dublin City Centre. My bags were held in a secure location and everything was there when I picked them up. There was a bus station about a block away from the hotel and I was able to catch the bus into City Centre for €1.80. The hotel restaurant/pub was OK. Again, nothing fancy, but a halfway decent place to relax with a pint of Guinness and some food before getting to sleep for an early morning flight. My only real complaint was the noise level near my room throughout the night. I'm assuming because it was so cheap, it ends up being attractive to the younger crowd that stays up late into the night. Or maybe it was due to a huge rugby match that was being played that day in Dublin. Either way, I was lucky enough to get adequate sleep, although I ended up waking up a few times more than usual due to some hooligans. If I was staying in Dublin under the same circumstances, I would most likely consider staying there again - unless a similar or better hotel had a more competitive price.

Ride the bus to/from the hotel into the City Centre. It is 10% of the cost of a cab, and the hotel is right on the route. Just ask the front desk for the correct bus route (I believe it was 4/4A). The bus drivers are very helpful too. Assuming you get on the correct bus, they will assist you with getting off at the correct stop.

" Not as depicted in the description "

Based on this hotel's description, I expected it to be new and fresh, since it ostensibly had opened in 2006. It definitely was not! Apparently Days Hotel had merely been acquired from a different company in 2006, as it was tired and old. The staff was kind and helpful, and the location close to the airport with a free shuttle was very convenient. It was also convenient to the bus line.

Nice Hotel

We stayed at this hotel b/c we had an early morning flight and wanted to be close to the airport. It turned out to be very close to the airport, and the hotel had a shuttle - so everything worked out great! The room was nice and very clean, a little small... but we literally only slept there, so it didn't bother us at all.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

After we got checked into the hotel, we got a cab to the city center. Cost was about 26 euros... we started talking to some nice people at a pub who told us that we could get the bus back to the hotel for only 2 euro (for both of us!!), as our hotel was right on a direct bus route to the city center.

Nice Place

The Days Hotel Dublin Airport was a very nice place to stay and the staff was wonderfully helpful. It was a little out of the way but right on the bus line to Dublin City Centre. Took about 20 minutes by bus to get to O'Connell Street. That said it was a very quiet place to sleep out of the hustle and bustle of the city.

Very accommodating

The Days Inn was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The neighborhood could have been better, but city is making improvements. The location was beside a bus stop so it made it very handy to go places.
