A great visit to Dublin

I am giving this all five starts because how well I was treated by the owners and staff even though I did not stay at the Merrion Hall. But instead one of their other properties The Aberdeen Lodge not to far away. When I arrived the Merrion Hall was haveing heating problems and they accomadated me by picking me up and getting me a room in the other property. The staff was wonderful and very helpful, rooms were clean and the Breakfast was wonderful. I would recommend these properties to my friends..

Modest with much to be modest about

Very nice staff but this "hotel" (more like a guest residence) is under construction and looks a long way from having its act together. Ireland isn't often hot, but having no functioning ventilation system left me roasting, even with windows open to the loud street immediately outside. Package this with no fitness room and wi-fi that cut in and out frequently, and I must hope that there are better options available for you.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The Cuban restaurant in the nearby village is really quite good. I know -- go to Ireland to eat Cuban!
