City centre hotel with good rates

The first night I was given a smoking room (I'm a non-smoker) and work up with a my sinuses full of smoke toxins. The room I got was really good apart from the fact it was not a non-smoking one (large room, good size bed, chairs and plenty of space to move around). On day 2, I moved to the forth floor and got a box of a room. I was barely able to move about the room and I'm not a large person. The "desk" was very very narrow and not suitable for working on a laptop (there was no WiFi either so Internet connectivity was limited to using the "desk"). The WiFi in this room didn't work very well - constantly locked up which resulted in no webpages loading. Both rooms featured good bathrooms though. The first room appears to have been a disabled room as the sink was very low. The second room (only a shower) was still fine and had good pressure and temperature. There were also tea/coffee and iron/trouser press facilities in both rooms. If you want to explore dublin, don't mind a short walk from the city centre and expect to spend zero time in the hotel, this hotel will be fine... If you want somewhere to relax and unwind as well as the above, find something else... There are more comfortable hotels! Good value for money though (especially for 3-4 nights mid-week)...

Maldron Square

The hotel was much farther from downtown than advertised. Better hotels, at better locations are available for the same price.

Find another hotel if you can

The restaurant closes at 9pm. The room is very small and the location isn't the best.

Great Location

Great value for being able to walk to O'Connel street, Henry Street and Temple Bar area. Transportation to and from the airport is easy with many options that can save money from taking a cab, which there are many around throughout the city.

good

We liked everything about the hotel except the wifi. We had a really hard time staying connected to it. If wifi is your main form of communication back to the states then get a room closer to the bottom floor.

Short City Break

The staff were incredibly helpful, with directions, printing papers for us, calling a car rental, etc. The rooms were very nice and well cleaned. it was also a convenient location for getting to and from Dublin airport and walking throughout Dublin for sightseeing.

shopping night in dublin

The breakfast was not up to sracth and the manager was very rude with his staff and a bit gruff with me when I signaled that my poached eggs were cold.. The second lots of eggs he produced were also cold and he offered no apology.. But the rest of the staff were friendly and went out of their way to serve us well.

North Dublin Maldron

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights after St. Stephen's Day. We noticed the streets around the hotel were pretty dirty- we were thinking because everyone had time off. Hotel is a little far from major attractions like Temple Bar, but surely within 15min walk. couldnt beat the price. Rooms are clean & modern. Bed was comfortable.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

take the 747 bus from the airport to O'connell St. I think it is stop #7. We got roundtrip. It was 10 euros per person.

Good Hotel

A 5 min walk to center. Good modern hotel. Staff was fine. Room was small but had extra bed and plenty of towels in room. Very clean. I would go back. Fees.... Street parking was $2.50 an hour. Hotel has Parking fee and Electrical Adapter fee: pay, not borrow with deposit.
