before arriving i was told that the hotel was a 10 minute bus ride from the city centre. this is not at all the case; in ... fact, the quickest i was able to get from the hotel to the city centre was around half an hour, after waiting for 1 minutes for a bus to even show up. god forbid you want to stay out late because a missed bus and a taxi ride will run you at least 15 euro. in addition the "workout room" offered was small, and many machines were broken or almost to the point of disrepair. the rooms were nice, but not HILTON nice, and for the price you pay thats sort of outrageous. next time i come i will either be at a hostel or honestly anywhere else but there.

Went for the shuttle and the free breakfast. Impressed with both. Only stayed one night in transit back to US so it was ... perfect for what I needed. I stayed at Bewley's Airport location on the way in and the rooms were nicer but Hilton made up for that by totally outshining them with the breakfast.

Good hotel
FirstTimeInIreland Jul 27, 2009
The hotel is clean and a typical Hilton. It takes about 20-35 min to get to the City Center by bus. There are buses every 20 ... minutes or so (you can look at the bus timetables on line). You need exact change (Euro 1.80) for the bus. A free shuttle will take you to/from the airport (about 15-20 min ride). There is a grocery store (Tesco) and post office opposite the Hilton and you can get info about the buses at the Post Office.

We stayed here before going to Dublin airport the next morning and it went well. It was on a big road but was quiet. They ... included breakfast in the Orbitz price, which was a nice surprise. We reserved spots on the airport shuttle when we arrived and it got us to the airport on time. The internet was not free. But overall, seemed like a good deal.

The hotel is very nice and well kept. There is complimentary breakfast which was delicious. The only thing I wanted that ... wasn't free was internet. It is 20 Euro if you want to use it in the room. We stayed here our last night because we wanted to be close to the airport with a free shuttle. The ride to the airport is between 10 and 15 minutes. If you are trying to get to the city center, there is a bus stop across the intersection that can get you there. Either bus 42 or 43 will take you to city center. We got on bus 42b coming back, and it will not return you to the same place. There is a supermarket a block away from the hotel that is open until about 9. There is a liquor store up there as well. There is a 24 hour Tesco across the intersection.

Called the Airport shuttle picked up right away. Hotel checked in right away. Nicest room I had on my whole trip. Had a ... great dinner at the restaurant below. Food in Ireland is sub-par for the most part. Got plenty of sleep in their nice beds before my flight the next day. Hotel room was spotless.

Nice Hotel - No Where Near the Airport Mar 4, 2009
We stayed at this hotel the night before we were booked to leave Ireland. We booked the hotel b/c it is described at Hilton ... at the Airport. NOT!!!!! This hotel is nowhere near the airport! The hotel does have a shuttle, but even the shuttle ride is 20 minutes (with no traffic). Everything else about the hotel was 5 star - our room was big, and super clean. The resturant breakfast (included in our room rate) was excellent! Bus service from the hotel to the city center and back was easy to navigate.

If you're looking at this hotel b/c you want to be near the airport - DO NOT STAY HERE. Despite how the advertise it, it's not near the airport... Trust me.

Pleasant Surprise on the Emerald Island
Edward Oct 13, 2008
The Hilton Dublin Airport Hotel, the city of Dublin and the wonderful Irish people made this one of my favorite travel ... experiences of my life. The hotel was great (the wife and I didn't have time to use the amenities or restaurants thus the 'neither satisfied or disatisfied'), otherwise everything was top notch. Great staff, comfortable well-kept room and close proximity to the city bus stop as well as a free airport shuttle made this a tremendous place to stay. I hope to do it again one day soon.
Traveler type: Couples
Catch the #42 Dublin city bus down to the City Centre and take the Green double decker tour bus of the city. Then eat at a local pub, buy souvenirs at Caroll's and hit the #42 back to the hotel. Just make sure you've got exact change in Euros as it's 1.70 Euros each way.

Not a real Airport hotel
Micheal Sep 29, 2008
The Dublin Airport Hilton was very far from the actual airport. Very inconvenient as I had to drop the rental car 2km from ... the airport at the car rental shop, then either take a shuttle to the airport and then get on a shuttle to the hotel or take a taxi to the hotel because we could not find it near the airport. We had many bags so we took a taxi. The taxi was 20 euros to the hotel. There was no one to help us with our bags (7 pieces). Breakfast was not included, internet was extremely expensive and there was no wifi in the room. I elected to stay at the Hilton because the price was decent and it was to supposed to be close to the airport, but in actuality, all the extra cost and the distance away from the airport made it very uneconomical, inconvenient and a real disappointment for us to end our trip in Dublin. The only plus to the Hilton is it is very close to the bus stop taking you to down town Dublin. I dont recommend this hotel at all.
