Disappointing

We found this hotel in general to be below average and disappointing. We were put in a suite on the top floor overlooking the motorway, very noisy all through the night, needless to say we slept very badly. Asked for a change of room in the morning and to be fair to reception they got us another room. We had a meal in the Bistro on the first night, ordered a bottle of wine with the meal, it was given to us at the table with the two glasses " there you go" said the waitress, it was a €19.50 bottle and they didn't even uncork it. We ate our meal surrounded by dirty tables - no one to clear them and we were not even asked was our meal ok, did we want dessert or coffee afterwards. Food was nice. This hotel could do with more staff as it seems to be very understaffed.

Relaxing & friendly

Stayed here while visiting family in Dublin & Tallaght. The hotel is just far enough outside the city to have nice big rooms and have a quiet street, but close to the highway for quick trips anywhere. The Green Isle provides friendly staff, delicious food, and a well-equipped gym & pool. HUGE comfy beds, too! But contrary to the description, there is free wifi in the lobby/bar/gym only (none in the rooms, unfortunately). The rooms are not sound-proof at all (luckily we only had a noisy neighbor for one night, during a wedding). And they need more maintenance staff to fixup a few small details (wrinkled carpeting that can cause tripping, closet doors that don't open all the way, widely-fluctuating water temperature in shower). Also, just be prepared for a TIGHT european parking garage. If you don't need a gym/pool, the Bewley's at Newlands Cross is in the same area (around the corner), seems to have more updates, & is also yummy (we spent a lunch there). Overall, worthwhile & convenient & friendly! We even liked it enough to extend our stay an extra few days & changed our flight plans.
