Close to airport but nothing fancy

This is definitely not a 4-star hotel unless the expectations are different for me. Beth (at the front desk) was very helpful and nice, and the gentleman who brought out bags (sorry I didn't get his name but he was an engineer in his home country of Philippines) was so friendly and helpful. The hotel room was functional and clean, but there was nothing above average regarding it. If we had not stayed in the most awesome hotel ever before this, maybe it would be okay. Having a shuttle that brought us to the airport made it worth the price.

Business Trip

Hotel very nice, nice choice of food on menus, food good aswell, the only snag i came across was the car park, which is situated a short walk away next door to another hotel. there was no undercover way of getting to it, so you would be sopping wet by the time you got to your car if it was raining... otherwise a very pleasant stay.....

Great hotel nr airport

For a really nice overnight before your flight back to the US, this offers an extra benefit- it is located across the street from a lovely park with room for running, walking on woodsy trails and wildlife- we saw swans and herons around the small lakes. So great to get some clean air and exercise before the long trip home. Hotel food was good too! Also has a free airport shuttle.

Convenient Location

Parking was convenient but added cost to the trip. I just don't think you should have to pay to park in the hotel lot. They also removed the lobby coffee at 6:00 AM and I think it would be a good amenity for those starting early and want to take a coffee with them. The room had no paper cups to carry coffee out of the room. Not a lot of amenities at this hotel.

Crowne Plaza Dublin-Northwood

We stayed for 6 nights Weds-Tues on the club floor we found that the week day staff was much more friendly than the weekend staff. The food was okay but very over priced.(Cinnabar/room service) We were not able to get our mini bar open no matter what we tried. If you stay on the 4th floor stop in and talk to the woman in the club room serving breakfast she will tell you about the hidden gems around Dublin and on the west coast. There is two shopping centers close by and a great park for walking across the road. We took the bus everywhere and the bus stop is just a short walk away. I don't know if we would stay there again but it was a nice hotel.

Drive or take the bus 33 up to Skerries. It is a beautiful ocean village. We found a nice little place called Raff's on the corner, the food there was great the staff was friendly and the prices were not over the top. Also, there is a bistro called Olives on the main street that was very good! We stopped in got some Panini and had lunch on the beach.

Only wish I got to see more of it

The Crowne Plaza in Dublin was heaven after a long travel day. Unfortunately as our plane was very late arriving it was just hustle to bed and get up the next morning for another long travel day. What little I saw of the staff they were very accommodating. The room was like being in heaven - the bed was great, it was very clean and the provision of tea and coffee was much appreciated. The location to the airport and the free shuttle bus in the morning was an added bonus. If I went back to Dublin it would be a first choice hotel for me.

Fire alarm troubles

The fire alarm went off when we were waiting for dinner in the restaurant. and they had to open the door to decrease the humidity. ( OK--should fire alarms in Ireland really be affected by humidity??!!) It was freezing, so we had to move to the bar area--Because of the issues with the alarm, only certain things were on the menu--sandwiches. They were pretty good. The only other thing was the insistence that we make reservations for dinner--there was no one else in the restaurant except for us...so a comfortable hotel in a great location for the airport--just a tad pretentious.

Great location, nice hotel, good food

Great place to stay if you are flying in or out of Dublin. Local staff from Ireland was very helpful. The food in the bar was great. Pleasant and quiet hotel. Gym is minimal. Shuttle to airport is quick and reliable.
