Disappointed guest
Under Par Accomodation
I chose the Clifton Court due to it's central location which I required for my stay. I had stayed a few years previously which was a better and completely different experience. The lighting did not work when I entered the room but the helpful desk clerk had it turned on. Then the tv only had two channels which was again rectified by the desk clerk although the reception was not great. I had asked to be moved to another room but was told there were none available. That night the bedside lamp did not work. The floor had not been cleaned and it creaked almost in every spot I walked on. The sink in the en suite was so small that even washing hands resulted in water falling onto the floor. The bedlinen was clean which was probably the only plus along with it being relatively quiet. The room was outdated and in need of a good clean and maintenance to fix the shelf the kettle was on amongst other things. I would not recommend the Clifton Court if the room I was given is the standard for the whole hotel the only plus is the hotel's central location.

I used to stay in this hotel when it was previously owned by somebody else. Current staff not very friendly even after expressing that I had a slip disc and could not go upto the 2nd floor. Reasonable and for the price and location, very good deal.

Great location, just off O'Connell
Great location, just off O'Connell Street and not a bad price, but a very tired and worn place - more like a backpacker's hostel. Had to 'rattle' the lock on the door to get it to work. Tiny en-suite.

this hotel is basis but for the price is very good value. sheets / towels were clean. do not think lift works so if you have trouble with stairs then this may not be a good option. otherwise very good for what you are paying.

One night stay!
I reserved a twin room for my father and me. We were issued two rooms on the first floor which were unacceptable. The courteous receptionist then issued two rooms on the second and third floors. The room doors were unpainted and not very secure. There is no elevator and the hallways are narrow, not good for a fire exit. The television in my father's room worked, but mine did not. There was a phone in the room but it was not plugged in to a jack, nor could I find one for it. The hotel is in a good location across from the River Liffey and convenient to public transportation, provided free internet access and provided breakfast to order from a charming room overlooking the river. I would not recommend the hotel for more than a one night stay.

The hotel is on a very busy road
The hotel is on a very busy road but the traffic noise wasn't audible from our first floor room.We were above the kitchens which was quite noisy from time to time. The room was small but adequate for our 2 night stay. Sadly it was quite scruffy - especially the bathroom. The net curtains were dirty, the window frames were dirty and needed repair, the flooring in the bathroom was torn and there was mould in the shower area. I'm not sure I would stay here again unless I was sure it had improved. The staff and food were excellent

Location is brilliant, next to
Location is brilliant, next to O'Connell bridge. Pricing is reasonable and service is good. The rooms are small however and the bathrooms are cramped. Lack of lift and numerous stairs make it unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.
