CityWest Hotel Dublin

Attended conference, BIG American style business hotel. Comfortable, very busy, nice rooms/bathrooms, long walks from reception area. Lunchtime in restaurant much better than dinner offering in choice and value. Staff are very helpful - decor pretty good especially public areas Not easiest hotel to find - much better road and entrance signage would help. Overall recommend but not if you want quiet break.

cant wait to go back!

I stayed here with my daughters for the one direction concert and was blown away by the hotel.its gorgeous and staff handled the influx of children amazingly, it was like one big sleepover!luas a short walk from the hotel made it easy for us to visit the city centre and zoo as we made a long week end of it.food was lovely in the restaurant, childrens menu brilliant with lovely dessert for only 7.25!all that's left to do is return without the children!i would definitely recommend city west for any type of stay.excellent value for money.

Nice American style hotel

For good and bad, this hotel seemed very Americanized compared to most other hotels I've been to. It's located just a bit out of Dublin, but the city can be reached fairly easily by bus or tram. Rooms were kept clean, however it wasn't until late in the day that house keeping made it to my room as it was a very busy weekend at the hotel.

Great hotel, will stay again

I wouldn't go any further than this hotel if I was travelling to Dublin, you don't have to drive into Dublin city and it now has a Luas stop about 10-15 mins walk from the hotel. Big room very clean, helpful staff and food is lovely. Will definitely stay here the next time I will travel to Dublin

lovely hotel!

very pretty hotel, awesome bar/eating area, and live entertainment at night. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was the nicest we stayed in on our whole trip overseas. Other than one snippy female manager; it was great!

great hotel on a golf course that is quite a distance from Dublin. worth it though if you just take the lanus line (above ground tram) that goes from west dublin (where the hotel is) to the city center.

Great Value for Money!

Stayed with some friends a few weeks back and I can't fault the hotel. Yes it is a bit our of town but the tram brings you into the city in 20 minutes or so. The room was clean, the staff friendly and the golf course is great! There are also lots of walks you can do around the area - cannot fault the hotel for the price

Dump in disguise

Don't let the helicopter and Rolls Royce placed prominently outside the entrance fool you. This is an overpriced dump with dingy, dated, and dirty rooms (don't look at the back of your quilt until you are leaving). The elevators creak and groan and appear cheap. You can pay more for slightly better rooms (e.g. with plasma TV's) but don't count on it being any cleaner. The hotel has hundreds of rooms and is like a maze. Motel 6 has better basic standards of maintenance and cleanliness. Service was friendly if occasionally incompetent. Food was good and the lobby and bar area nice. Grounds are nicely maintained and the exercise facilty and pool is quite good. Unfortunately these plusses can't outweigh the overall sense that this is a dump that survives on masses of tourists who come on coach tours and never return.
