Best Place To Stay In Dublin!!!

The Castle-Hotel is a beautiful building! Our room was cozy and perfect, the bathroom was a bit small, but the bed and room size was great. The staff is beyond wonderful, always willing to help with directions and suggestions for out-of-the-way places. The hotel restaurant is amazing! There was live music on Friday and Saturday, the food was so good that we decided to eat dinner there every night! We will definitely be back there in the next few months.

Business in Town

The Hotel is well-positioned and has g, reat character. Also, the staff were at all times friendly and helpful. The hotel building itself, being a conversion of a number of 18th Century Georgian houses, naturally had its problems - only 1 small lift, long complicated corridors, uneasy conversions at times - but it served its purpose and did its job for the price.

weekend in dublin

This hotel is in a perfect position in the heart of Dublin. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The eat all you can breakfast was excellent with the choice of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast, jam, marmalade and a choice of all required for a cooked breakfast bacon sausage fried scrambled boiled eggs, black/white pudding potato scones tomato, tea coffee fruit juices all freshly made and served in the lovely restaurant. The room was lovely and clean and cosy, the only thing I would fault was that the duvet and pillows were a bit passed there sell buy date and need replaced. A lovely weekend.

Business trip

The nice thing is price and I should have known that with that low price comes with a cost the room was absolutely freezing cold and only the hotel staff can change the temperature. I asked them three times PLEASE turn the heat up in my room and the heater remained cold. Next thing was to warm up in the shower. Nope. When I turned the throttle in shower to hot the dribble that came out was pathetic. Meaning virtually no water at all unless I turned the cold on then all the freezing cold water you would want came out in force. So no heat for two days and no shower for two days.

Great for being in the city

Staff so helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was lovely no waiting and food was good (great if you had a trip booked) and had to be away quick. Loved the idea of baggage room so could spend more time before flying home. Location was good if you wanted to go out site seeing buses a few minutes walk away and pick up point was walking distance for day trips. 2nd time of staying will stay again.

Thin Walls and Traffic

We were in town for the UCF/Penn St. football game and had 2 rooms and stayed 4 nights at the hotel. The first room was on the street side and was very noisy because of traffic and late night revelers. It was warm so the windows were open but a PM pill allowed us a fairly good night's sleep until the last night when guests in the next room were very loud. The other room was on the courtyard side and much quieter but very warm in the room. The staff was wonderful--happily taking care of all our requests quickly. The service and friendliness of the bar staff left a lot to be desired but the entertainment was good. The breakfast was very good and the cafe staff very accommodating. The hotel is very charming and its location was perfect. We walked to the stadium and many nearby restaurants and pubs.
