Average at best
The hotel is on a busy noisy street in a city that stays out late. The single pane windows and missing window latching hardware make the noise even worse. Rooms are a bit dated and worn. In addition, our room faced the street and had a horrendous knocking noise that would occur coming from the ceiling a/c vent multiple times per night.

NOT a boutique hotel
Great location, we couldn't have asked for any better. But this hotel was NOT the boutique hotel it was trying to pass itself off as. We were weary, frazzled travelers looking for a slice of heaven. What we got was virtually a stay at a Holiday Inn. Nothing was specifically wrong with this hotel, but I didn't quite feel like it was worth the price or effort it took to check in. The best thing this hotel has got going for itself is the location...you can't beat it. It's a clean, functional, quiet place in the middle of Grafton Street and Temple Bar. But if you are looking for a unique, luxury, quirky, boutique hotel...look elsewhere. It's plain Jane.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Check out the pub menu at the Hairy Lemon...I just liked it's name. But the menu was typical pub food...and they did it well.

Comfortable and consistent
We had only one night in Dublin as we were traveling on to elsewhere in Ireland so location was very important. This hotel was within very easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see. In just one day we were able to get a good flavor of Dublin. Also important was that we get a good night's sleep after traveling over from the States the previous night. The room was super comfortable, superb bed, pillows and very quiet. We skipped the hotel breakfast cause it was way overpriced but lots of other places to eat just outside the hotel doors. A bonus: Great toiletries as well. One negative is that check-in was delayed by an hour and that was painful when one is jet-lagged and there were no apologies. This is not uncommon in my experience traveling to Europe, however. I have often found that arriving from the States that my room is not ready.

Everything went well. The rooms on the lower floors facing the street were pretty noisy at night but all in all it was a great stay.

Great accommodations in the city's heart
Excellent concierge service, very friendly and accommodating staff made our stay in Dublin a great one. The location of the hotel is really in the heart of everything that a short visit tourist is interested in. Make sure to park directly across the very narrow street from the hotel as the hotel will validate parking for a discount rate. The rooms are of course very small but you aren't there to see the inside of the hotel. Clean rooms, very nice bed and pillow selection available. There is a ton of shopping/restaurants directly in the area. Just a hint, alot of shops close by 6pm so make sure to do any shopping early and enjoy the restaurants and pubs in the evening.

Not Applicable
Park directly across the street from the hotel as they will validate the ticket, but remember the garages don't open until 10-11am or so, so plan to enjoy some breakfast and an early morning walk before you leave.
