Dining
- The Vat House
- The VAT house Bar of Temple Bar is a traditional Irish Pub, which gets its name from the vat house in the Guinness Brewery, St. James Gate Dublin. During the final stage of the brewing process Guinness is stored in large copper vats and left to mature, thereby allowing the flavour to develop.

great location!
This hotel is right in the middle of the trendy temple bar area. You will be able to walk out your door and easily get to anything you want to do. No need for a cab if you stay here. If you have a car, ask them where to park, its called the Fleet St Garage and its 1/2 price. The only negative is that the room is really small, plain and barren, but who cares, you are in Dublin! Room was clean and plenty for us! I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Loved this hotel
There were a few issues at initial check in, but were quickly resolved when they moved my room. I loved the area this hotel was in, so expect some noise on the busy weekend nights. Most of the staff were fantastic and they tried to make my stay amazing. Ask for a room with a balcony, you can step out and take in the sights. The music at the Vat house, are just down the steps. Such a fun place to be. I would definitely stay again.

weekend break
Hotel reception and bar welcoming rooms let it down. Room never cleaned in 3 day stay. Curtains full off holes and black mould. Bath enamel all worn. Radiator didn't work properly and rusty. Would never ever stay here or recommend to anyone. Very disappointed. See photographs for proof of complaints.

great location. ate in the bar food was really good. we were warned that it could get noisy but to be honest the only noise we heard was the generator outside the room window early in the morning. nothing special for the money but was clean and the staff helpful. beds in the twin quite small

Great location
Blooms hotel is in a good location in the middle of the Temple Bar area. Obviously being so central the hotel is very busy and also noisy, take your ear plugs if you want a good nights sleep. Hotel clean and basic and also good value. The breakfasts are vastly over priced at ā¬18 pp. There are many places locally that offer better value. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again as hotel is in the middle of everything.

Great value, location
We stayed here 2 nights while in Dublin. The location can't be beat. Rooms were a nice size, beds & pillows all quite comfortable. Very clean throughout. There is a pub inside the hotel and a nightclub attached, but we didn't go while we were there. It wasn't loud at night from our room at all. Great walking distance to everything. Overall, I would definitely stay there again. Great deal in Temple Bar area.

Good if your going to Party
The hotel is in a great location, its a loud area but thats what you get staying in the heart of the city, the hotel gives you a drinks voucher on arival but we never got to use them, as there is so much to do out there. the room could be bigger, and the staff could be more helpful, something with a smile, the hotel is pricy for its standards and quality.

It's cheap for a reason
The location is central, but the party outside your window does not stop until 3 or 4, every single morning. The windows do not block any noise, and we were on the fourth floor. We slept horribly the entire time. We asked to change rooms, but the front desk guy just laughed. We enjoy a good time, but you have to have sleep sometime. The room itself was small. The bathroom was ok, but the mold around the tub was not. There is no ventilation, unless you open the window and let in the wave of cold outside, so the temperature in the room is hard to get right. It had a cold sauna feel, which is difficult to achieve. The cleaning staff were very nice though, and one lady helped me drag my mega luggage to the elevator, which was nice. There is also very sketchy wifi in the hotel, especially if you get one of the rooms that is oddly out a door off the hallway, which then splits into two rooms. We had zero wifi in there. We had to sit in the hall to get on the Internet. Oh, there is also no laundry service, but there is a place you can drop your laundry off at about two blocks away. The good stuff... The Vat House pub downstairs was a nice perk. There is live music many nights, and the prices were decent for the area. The hotel is also in a good location for walking around, and the Tara Station is not far. The hotel is inexpensive, and I guess that says it all.

Great location / clean rooms
This hotel was a great place to stay. the rooms were always cleaned daily. It's the perfect place to stay because you're right in the middle of everything. it gets a little noisy on the weekends but hey it's Templebar! Two of the things that are on the downside is that they don't offer any continental breakfast and you have to be standing outside your door to get Wi-Fi connection. the staff always helped if you needed to find something Or directions. Me and my wife stayed here for one week and we were very satisfied staying here.
