Dublin trip

Hotel was a fabulous location, very posh, very safe. Bus directly from airport let me out at the hotel, local city buses was right in front of Hotel. Local pubs and resturants a 5 minute walk from Hotel. Was safe to walk home at night by myself. Locals were very friendly and helpful. Bank was a 5 minute walk from hotel to change my money. Will stay at Bewley's Hotel every time I go to Dublin.

better than expected

I had low expectations of this hotel because of the fair price I paid and was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The building is beautiful, rooms were clean and well furnished and I enjoyed my stay. The location is only a moment from a bus stop but is not near the heart of the city. Being that I'm young and like to party, it was a bit out of the way for my taste, but it was a safe and beautiful neighborhood.

Buses in Dublin don't give change at all. So make sure to ask the front desk the fare so you can have exact change.

Good Value, very central.

I wanted a clean , simple hotel , not far from city-centre - but not in it. Hotel suited my needs perfectly. Location is beautiful ( the building dates back to 1792 ), rooms large and bathroom facilities very good. Taxi-rank right outside. I did not dine there , but will certainly use again.

4 Star Hotel with a budget price

Bewleys Ballsbridge is a GEM. Nestled in the same neighborhood as Embassy Residences, a walk in any direction will provide gorgeous examples of Estate Living. Hotel staff readily changed our room when the noise from Thomas Pryor Hall evening events left us sleepless two nights in a row. Food was excellent, menu varied, portions very adequate, and if necessary, you could carry a tray to your room (room service not provided). Wished there had been live Irish music in the hotel bar.

Great hotel in a great location.

The hotel was great from check-in to departure with plenty of on-site parking. Located about 1.5 miles from Dublin city center with city buses running every 10 minutes. Close to US Embassy, Trinity College (see the Book of Kell's), Jamison distillery as well as Guiness and hundreds of pubs, restaurants, etc. Room was very comfortable, with comfortable beds and pillows. The only thing missing from the room were bath cloths, shampoo and conditioner !!! Hotel restaurant and bar were larger than expected. Food was very good and compared to Dublin prices, was priced right. Definitely would stay here again.

Good, quiet hotel in Dublin, Ireland

The Bewleys hotel has an excellent location, unless you want to be in the middle of the Temple Bar district. The bus from the airport stops directly in front of it. It is a 5 minute walk to the DART train station which goes into the city center of Dublin. The train ride is about a 10 minutes. From the Tara Street station we walked all around the city center. From the Connolly station we caught the light rail to the Guinness storehouse. The hotel is next to the British embassy and a block away from the US embassy, so it is in a very good neighborhood. My daughter and I ran two different routes- one to the Dublin Bay and the other around the Herbert Park. You can walk to St Stevens Park, but that will take at least 30 minutes. The hotel staff was very helpful with providing directions and other information about getting around.
