Best Western Premier Academy Plaza Hotel sits just off O'Connell Street, at the very heart of Dublin. Lovely Hotel and Great Location
What a great deal! The Best Western Academy had everything at a great price. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly! The room was eclectically decorated, quiet and clean. The handicapped accessible bathrooms have shower stalls with inadequate drainage, so make sure you have extra towels down to prevent falling.

Restaurants and pubs are within walking distance and it's worth checking out various cuisine. Be prepared that dining can be a bit self-service at times. A 5 percent tip is standard and is paid either directly to the server or at the register.

Great Hotel and location
Great Location. A few minutes walk from the 747 bus (Dublin airport to city center). Across the street from the hop on-hop off buss. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very helpful. It is also located just off o'connell street which has good food and bars.

Great location & hotel

A great find!
This hotel is a great location. We were able to walk out the door & right down O'Connell Street. We had a little difficulty finding the hotel but our GPS was very helpful. There wasn't parking at the hotel itself so we had to pay for a parking facility down the road. Our rooms were spacious and up to date decor. We enjoyed having the internet when we came in the main entrance. Would recommend and would stay here again.

Highly Recommend!!!
This was a first trip to Dublin and I wasn't sure what to expect from the hotel or location. This couldn't have been a better pick. The room had plenty of room and we received an upgrade to a triple room with a double bed and a single bed. The room was very clean and quiet! The hotel staff was wonderful and very helpful with any questions we had about areas to eat or how to set up day tours. It was in a great location! Only about 10 min walk to Temple Bar area and about 5 min walk to the tourist center and had a hop on-hop off tour across the street. I'll definitely stay here again next time!

There are plenty of pubs nearby where you can get an appetizer, entree, dessert and a pint for about 15 euros! Definitely get out and check out the pubs since most have live music every night. Best suggestion is to get out and make a left on O'Connell and just wander til you find something that sounds good! All the pub fare is wonderful!

Enjoyed the proximity to all the tourist spots. The staff was very helpful. I enjoyed the fact that I could use a computer supplied by the hotel!! The restaurant in the hotel was fine and not expensive. Hope to bring my wife to this hotel in 2011. Tom Melchiorre Wildwood Crest, NJ.

Hidden Gem
There were 3 couples that traveled together to Ireland. We took the bus from the airport which dropped us off right by the hotel, which was really easy access. We arrived early morning so our rooms were not quite ready, but they worked hard to get us in a room quickly, which they did. Our rooms were upgraded and they provided free breakfast each day for us. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and nice. For the money it was completely worth it. Late evenings we spent in the bar area which was very relaxing for a small group gathering. Overall, it was well worth it and made it a wonderful trip.
