Excellent Stay!

The location of Arlington Hotel Temple Bar couldn't be much better. It's right on the main road through the area. Our window overlooked the street and we absolutely loved it. Walking distance to many many restaurants, shopping, the Liffey, Christ Church, Saint Patrick's, the Dublin Castle, everything really. The hotel was nice - they had a computer with internet in the lobby, but it was quite expensive. The staff was great, the rooms were very nice. We really enjoyed our stay!

I would recommend not paying for the full meal in the restaurant/bar. Show up later, buy a beer, and watch the dancing for 5 euros instead of 30 :)

Dublin Get A Way

Great Hotel, close to Temple Bar, ChristChurch and Dublin Castle. On and Off bus stops right across from the Hotel as does the Air Link Bus to Dublin Airport, very convenient Hotel. Great staff, breakfast, and Bar. Live Irish dancing show every night. One concern: our room did not have a bath mat in the bath tub. When taking a shower the tub was slipery.

Thanksgiving in Dublin

Great location for wandering around Dublin and seeing the sites. The staff was very friendly and helpful particularly when we planned a day trip to the seaport village of Howth and were unfamilar with the DART transportation system. And the manager Jerry even took the time to teach me to pull a pint at thebar. We definitely would return to the Arlington Hotel. Bob and Rick

Make sure to have a tour of Trinity College, led by one the students. They are quite personable, with lots of interesting information told with humorous anecdotes. And it includes a chance to see the Book of Kells in the admission price.

Good hotel, great location!

Great location, just slightly west of Temple Bar area, and east of Christ Church. In city center, and walkable to most sights. Airlink bus from the airport stops right out in front of the hotel for 10 euro return. Our large, twin room was on the second floor alley side, so noise was never an issue, and we were there for New Years Eve! Room was large, clean and comfortable. Free wi-fi, worked great. Bathroom was also large. Only issue was water temperature, first day scalding hot. After a quick call to front desk, someone did come up and adjust it right away. Two other times water was all cold, and had to call to report. One of the times we were in a hurry and had to settle. So no fun there. Other than the water issue it was a great stay! Great price due to the 4 nights for the price of 3! Would stay there again!

Great location

The hotel was as expected. Old but still nice and clean enough for my strict standards. It's walking distance from all the main attractions and close to many nice pubs. One thing to note is when booking through the [...]website the hotel recieves only limited info. They booked a standard room for two, but we had three people. The hotel was very accomodating and took care of us.Great trip!

You can see the Dublinia exhibition and Christchurch Catherdral for a reduced cost when starting at the Dublinia exhibition. They are right next to each other a block to two from the hotel. Alas, we did not see this advertised and went in the wrong order. Had to pay full price for both.

In the heart of Dublin

Spent two nights on the weekend following St. Patrick's Day. Great location near all the sights in central Dublin. Rooms were good-sized for Europe. Only downside was that the bed was missing a sheet the second night there and our request for a replacement sheet was fulfilled with a rough, cheap sheet that was too small for the bed.

Close to Everything!

Staff was very friendly and helpful, and we were within walking distance of most Dublin attractions. Also very close to several interesting restaurants and nightspots, as well as shopping. Since this is a busy area, anyone wanting complete quiet should go somewhere else. However, if you like being in the middle of all the excitement of Dublin, this is the place!
